VIZIO's Technology - Software and Services team is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their growing team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work together within the team and contribute to innovate VIZIO products. The Senior Software Engineer going to report to the "Senior Manager" directly who is leading a team and will be assigned a task that requires certain level of insight in terms of specific technology point of view.
What You Will Do
- Support Supervisor to deliver assigned tasks on time.
- Coding, Debugging, Bug fixing and so on that is required to release a software package.
- Collaborate within and across the teams including QA and 3rd party partners to deliver a project on time.
- Review the software design and implementations.
- Maintain the code clean, and modular for cross-platform architecture.
- Support participation in various trade and industry events, including conferences and sponsored activities.
About You
- Bachelor's Degree or greater in Computer Science, Electronics & Communications, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- 6+ years of experience in design, prototyping, software development, code review and unit testing for embedded devices.
- High proficiency with modern C, C++, C++11/C++14/C++17 preferred.
- Very good experience in object-oriented programming and design skills, Javascript, HTML5, Linux OS, Make file, Python, Other development/build tools and scripting languages.
- Linux OS or RTOS experience is essential to performing our daily activities.
- Proficient Knowledge about boot up process (Linux based), memory management
- Solid foundational knowledge of inter-process communications (IPC) and remote procedure calls (RPC). Proficiency with multiple communications paradigms: client-server, peer-to-peer, and publish/subscribe.
- Experience working with diverse engineering teams.
- Desire to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, highly collaborative environment.
- Familiar with Wifi and Ethernet networking, mdnsd, DIAL
