The Product Developer II manages complex feature development, leading innovation projects with a focus on security and performance optimization. They mentor juniors in problem-solving and secure coding practices, emphasizing the importance of quality documentation and effective cross-functional collaboration to meet project goals

Job Duties:
The Product Developer II will take a lead on projects and initiatives within the team and will perform the following duties:
- Contribute to feature development initiatives, introduce solutions to improve product efficiency and effectiveness, and start to mentor junior developers.
- Lead smaller Agile initiatives within sprints, mentor junior team members on Agile practices, and manage complex tasks, showcasing an ability to apply Agile methodologies to improve team performance and product development efficiency. May act as a Scrum Master for the team.
- Contribute to the development of complex features, ensuring code quality and maintainability, and lead code review sessions, imparting best practices and feedback to improve team coding standards.
- Lead research efforts on emerging technologies relevant to project needs, mentor junior developers in technology adoption, and manage the integration of new technologies into existing development workflows.
- Resolve complex customer technical issues, mentor junior developers in customer support best practices, and contribute to the development of support documentation and tools.
- Lead debugging efforts for complex issues within projects, mentor junior developers in effective problem-solving strategies, and contribute to the creation of tools or practices that enhance debugging efficiency.
- Contribute to security improvement initiatives within projects, mentor junior developers on secure coding practices, and address vulnerabilities to enhance product security.
- Lead performance optimization projects within the team, mentor junior developers in effective optimization techniques, and contribute to the creation of performance benchmarks.
- Design complex features within projects, mentor junior developers on effective design practices, and contribute to the development of design standards.
- Contribute to efforts within the team to ensure projects comply with internal and external standards, mentor junior developers on compliance issues, and contribute to the creation or refinement of compliance guidelines.
- Develop comprehensive technical documentation for complex systems or features, mentor junior developers in effective documentation practices, and contribute to the establishment of documentation standards.
- Actively engage in development efforts that require coordination with Product Management, QA, Technical Writing, and Product Design, mentoring junior developers on the value of cross-functional collaboration. May lead initiatives to ensure cohesive efforts towards common project goals.
- Gain awareness of role product development plays in building solutions for our customers. Gain knowledge of the role individual components and features contribute to customer value.
- May contribute to innovation and thought leadership initiatives, such participating in Ideathons and Hackathons.
