Manage and maximize return on a portfolio of CSBB Small Business Criticized and Classified loans in accordance with Bank policy, procedures, and strategic goals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.
1. Manage a portfolio of CSBB Small Business problem loans including those with complex credit structures in CSBB.
2. Negotiate effective resolution plans with borrowers in accordance with an appropriate case strategy. Negotiations may require working with external legal counsel. They may also incorporate credit analysis when a modification or forbearance is considered. Asset Manager will drive recommendations that address the accrual status, loan to value (LTV), as well as Bank policy and regulatory guidance to mitigate and reduce losses to the Bank.
3. Independently complete underwriting of borrowers/guarantors for renewal/modification in order to justify accrual status, risk rating or adequacy of collateral.
4. Prepare accurate and thorough credit request packages for co-approval or exercise individual loan authority, when applicable.
5. Manage relationships with Small Business Banking Service Delivery and/or external counsel used in development, drafting, execution and enforcement of documentation needed to achieve workout goals. Work closely with clients, Relationship Managers, and external counsel, when appropriate, to ensure loan closings are completed in an accurate and timely manner.
6. Work effectively with partners such as SBDS Support Specialist and Commercial Fulfillment Specialist to ensure all client-related documentation is sound and any issues are resolved in an accurate and timely manner.
7. Provide accurate and timely monthly forecasting for non-performing assets and charge-offs.
8. Complete reporting as required for impairment analysis, accrual justification, CCAR, and Criticized Loan Asset Reports (or equivalent).
9. When required, work cooperatively and effectively in a consultative or shadowing role with teammates from other Business Lending Units throughout the Bank in order to assess and mitigate risk.
10. Keep abreast of changing Bank policy and procedures, as well as business and economic developments which impact the loan portfolio and banking in general.
QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or banking or comparable education and related training.
2. A minimum of 7 years commercial banking, loan workout or equivalent experience.
3. Exceptional negotiation, communication, interpersonal, financial analysis and problem-solving skills. Ability to deliver messages and interact effectively in a sometimes tense or adversarial environment.
4. Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Master's degree in business administration, finance, or banking.
2. 10 years of experience in commercial banking, loan workout, and/or relationship management.
