Job Title: Invasive Cardiovascular Technologist
Profession: Technologist

Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Day
Hours per Shift: 8
Experience: Two years of experience in Cardiology/Cath Lab is preferred.
License: Must obtain Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Technologist (RCIS) within 18 months if not already certified.
Certifications: Registered ARRT or RCIS, BLS certification, Current ACLS certification endorsed by American Heart Association, Fluoroscopy Certification, Radiation badges required.
Must-Have: Ability to assist physicians in radiological imaging and provide technical support during invasive cardiovascular procedures.
Description:
Provides technical support in the cardiac catheterization laboratory during invasive cardiovascular procedures.
Offers patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse.
Assists physicians in radiological imaging of cardiac and vascular procedures.
Acts as a scrub assistant, maintaining sterile conditions during clinical procedures.
Operates imaging equipment.
Works in the control room monitoring and documenting procedure images and events.
Educates patients and families regarding the procedure and expectations.
Informs patients and families about pre and post-procedure physical conditions.
Helps maintain order and cleanliness of the unit.
Keeps appropriate stock levels for complex interventions and diagnostic procedures.
Completes daily, progress, and discharge documentation according to departmental standards.
Accurately documents productivity information.
Participates in quality and patient safety initiatives.
Identifies potential areas for improvement in processes to enhance patient satisfaction.
Takes appropriate actions to identify and resolve potential safety hazards.
Promotes mission, vision, and values of the organization and abides by its behavior standards.
Performs other duties as assigned.
