Responsibilities

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain Active Directory (AD) architecture, including domain controllers, Group Policy Objects (GPOs), OU structure, and replication.
• Implement and manage Identity and Access Management (IAM) policies aligned with industry best practices.
• Establish and enforce security configurations for systems, networks, and AD components.
• Configure multi-factor authentication (MFA), Single Sign-On (SSO), and conditional access policies.
• Ensure compliance with industry frameworks and standards.
• Perform vulnerability assessments and risk analysis related to identity infrastructure and directory services.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and auditing solutions to detect and respond to potential threats or misconfigurations.
• Lead or assist in incident response and forensic investigations related to AD or security infrastructure.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (IT, DevOps, Compliance) to integrate security practices across the organization.
• Provide documentation, training, and knowledge sharing for internal stakeholders on AD and cybersecurity tools and practices.

Qualifications

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred, but not required.
• Industry certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate, or Security+, preferred, but not required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with operational reporting tools.

• Proven experience designing and deploying Active Directory and Group Policy in enterprise environments.
• Solid understanding of Windows Server, DNS, DHCP, LDAP, and Kerberos protocols.
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, including access control, threat mitigation, and encryption.
• Familiarity with cloud identity solutions like Azure AD, Okta, or AWS IAM is a plus.
• Experience with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell) for automation and configuration.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

• This position operates in a professional office environment or remotely, depending on organizational needs.
• Role may require occasional on-site visits to data centers or office locations.
• The work is largely sedentary, using standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and printers.
• May require occasional after-hours work for security monitoring, incident response, or system maintenance.
