About the Role

As a Senior Construction Project Manager at Zekelman Industries, you will play a key role in the successful execution of large-scale modular construction projects. This includes overseeing project schedules, budgets, and team coordination while ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. You will lead strategic planning, risk mitigation, contract negotiations, and quality assurance efforts. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential, as you will manage cross-functional teams and maintain alignment with stakeholders to drive the success of each project. You will collaborate with internal teams, subcontractors, vendors, and senior leadership to ensure the efficient delivery of projects within scope and budget. This is a full-time, onsite role located in Austin, Texas.

What You'll Do
Manages large-scale modular construction projects, ensuring timely and efficient delivery within defined budgets and scopes of work.
Develops, optimizes, and maintains detailed project schedules, coordinating input from internal and external teams.
Leads strategic project planning sessions, identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions.
Oversees project change management processes to align scope, schedule, and budget changes with organizational objectives.
Leads and mentors cross-functional project teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability.
Drives alignment between internal teams, subcontractors, and external partners to meet project goals.
Serves as a problem-solving resource, resolving complex project challenges and conflicts with efficiency and diplomacy.
Provides guidance to assistant project managers and project managers to ensure team success.
Partners with the General Manager, Projects to align project objectives with organizational strategy.
Develops and manages project budgets, tracking expenditures and identifying opportunities for cost savings.
Negotiates and manages contracts with subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants.
Ensures full compliance with safety regulations, including OSHA standards and company policies.
Oversees permitting and regulatory processes, ensuring compliance with local and federal requirements.
Drives quality assurance initiatives to ensure deliverables meet stakeholder expectations.
Acts as the senior point of contact for clients and key stakeholders, maintaining open communication throughout the project lifecycle.
Leads OAC (Owner, Architect, Contractor) meetings, addressing challenges and providing updates.
Prepares and delivers comprehensive project reports to stakeholders and senior leadership.

Who You Are
Bachelor's degree in Building Science, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
7-10 years of experience in construction management, with an emphasis on modular or multi-family projects.
1-3 years of experience in a leadership role, managing teams.
Demonstrated ability to successfully deliver construction projects on time and within budget.
Proven experience managing project teams, subcontractors, and vendors across multiple project phases.
Strong knowledge of construction processes, safety standards, and building codes, particularly in a modular manufacturing environment.
Procore Certification, Project Management Professional (PMP), or OSHA 30-Hour Construction Certification (preferred).
Ability to manage multiple complex projects in a fast-paced environment.
Must be eligible to work in the United States.
