Responsibilities

  • Provide supervision and oversight in the breast center
  • Must be capable of working independently and working well with team members
  • Provide mammography services to patients while adhering to department and organizational policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Responsible for Performed mammograms on patients as prescribed by the Physician
  • Comply with MQSA (Mammography Quality Standards Act) and EQUIP (Enhancing Quality Using the Inspection Program)
  • Must be able to interact positively with multiple patient populations and their families
  • Manage inventory
  • Delegates and managed all responsibilities and tasks of the daily schedule
  • Maintains consistent level of competence in all areas
  • Interviews, hires, and evaluates candidates with the approval of the Manager
  • Perform any and all other duties assigned

Qualifications

Job Requirements:
  • Perform Mammograms and Bone Density/Dexa scans
  • Explaining imaging procedures to patients and taking note of the patient's medical history, which will be relevant to how the imaging procedure will be done
  • Demonstrate the ability to operate mammography and bone density equipment properly.
  • Able to achieve the best possible images.
  • Active and current New Jersey State License-NJDEP Radiologic Technologist
  • Maintains CEU Credits
  • American Registry of Radiology Technologist (A.R.R.T.) certification
