Overview
Develop, maintain, and test technologies for use in pigging applications of the pipeline industry. Transition new pigging solutions from development, through testing, to sustaining; this process includes troubleshooting, root cause analysis, designing, and implementation of the applied solutions. This position is mechanically focused, working with all aspects of mechanical parts, assemblies, processes, and equipment.

Overview
Develop, maintain, and test technologies for use in pigging applications of the pipeline industry. Transition new pigging solutions from development, through testing, to sustaining; this process includes troubleshooting, root cause analysis, designing, and implementation of the applied solutions. This position is mechanically focused, working with all aspects of mechanical parts, assemblies, processes, and equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Design new products and create improvements for pigging applications using CAD software and other tools.
- Develop, assemble, and build prototypes for testing functionality; this includes creating detailed test plans and reports.
- Identify and solve complex technical problems related to mechanical systems and components.
- Perform research for new technologies, technical publications, and voice of customer to generate ideas for improvements.
- Produce and interpret technical deliverables (e.g., engineering calculations, FEA, test reports, etc.).
- Work closely with Project Managers and Product Managers to plan projects and assess technical feasibility.
- Frequently assist and interact with other departments to ensure quality, manufacturability, and supply chain needs are met.
- Collaborate with other engineers, designers, and production staff to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Provide technical presentations of project progress and new findings.
- Review and approve design documentation.
- Other job responsibilities as assigned (e.g., engineered to order support as needed, sustaining support as needed, etc.).
Requirements:
Experience:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 7+ years of engineering experience.
- Experience performing calculations for engineering design.
- Experience with 3D CAD software (SolidWorks preferred).
- Familiarity with testing using sensors and data acquisition.
