Job Purpose

The Product Director for Energy Analysis and Efficiency Products will lead the development, management, and growth of solutions focused on energy optimization within heavy industries. This role requires a deep understanding of energy systems, industrial processes, and customer needs, as well as strong business acumen to guide product strategy and execution.
As a critical link between customers, engineering, and commercial teams, you will oversee the lifecycle of energy efficiency products, from concept to market adoption. This role is ideal for a strategic thinker with a passion for innovation and sustainability in industrial operations.
Please note, this role will start as individual contributor but is expected to take on managerial and leadership role as the team expends.

Product Strategy and Development
Define the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for energy analysis and efficiency solutions tailored to heavy industries.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify market needs and translate them into technical requirements.
Work closely with R&D and engineering teams to ensure products meet performance, quality, and cost objectives.
Monitor industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies to inform product innovation.

Market and Customer Engagement
Engage with customers to understand their energy challenges and provide tailored solutions.
Act as the voice of the customer, ensuring products align with real-world applications and deliver measurable value.
Develop marketing and sales enablement materials, including technical documentation, presentations, and case studies.

Product Lifecycle Management
Manage the entire product lifecycle, including development, launch, and post-market support.
Define KPIs to measure product success and implement strategies to improve performance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, operations, and engineering, to ensure product objectives are met.

Commercial Support
Provide technical and strategic support to sales teams during customer engagements and proposal development.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities in energy efficiency and optimization markets.
Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and customer meetings as a product expert.

Technical Applications
Offer hands-on support for product development, troubleshooting, and resolving technical queries including:
Analytical components: big data databases and tools, train physics, and geo enhancement, etc.
Front end tools: fuel dashbords, alternative fuel options analysis, value projections, etc.

Team Leadership
Recruit, train, and lead a team of application engineers and analysts.
Set goals, monitor performance, and foster a collaborative team culture.
Travel as required.

Qualifications and Experience
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in product management or development of energy systems or rail efficiency solutions.
Proven track record of managing technical products in heavy industries (e.g., Rail, manufacturing, oil & gas, power generation).
Deep understanding of energy analysis, industrial energy systems, and efficiency technologies.
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders.
Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of engaging both technical and non-technical audiences.
Ability to travel as required.
