Marsh's Property Advisory group specializes in helping organizations manage risks associated with their physical assets through strategic consulting and risk management solutions. They focus on identifying vulnerabilities, implementing cost-saving strategies, and supporting insurance decisions to protect businesses effectively. With a data-driven approach, Marsh provides tailored services to enhance the resilience of clients' property portfolios. We are seeking a Property Risk Consultant in our Toronto office with a hybrid office schedule.

We will count on you to:
  • Collaborate with Risk Managers and Facility Operations Managers to design and implement property risk control programs and procedures.
  • Conduct field visits to evaluate property and business interruption exposures, preparing comprehensive recommendations and marketing/underwriting reports to support client insurance placements.
  • Liaise with clients and their insurers to establish mutually beneficial objectives and provide alternative risk control solutions.
  • Act as project manager for all related risk control activities, leading client implementation teams and suggesting key performance indicators to measure results.
  • Develop new and expanded business opportunities while coordinating business development activities.


What you need to have:
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in property risk control consulting or relevant industry experience.
  • Experience in account management, account engineering, or oversight of complex projects is an asset.
  • Sound knowledge of risk control and safety procedures, including NFPA Fire Codes, FM Global engineering standards, and Federal and Provincial Fire and Building Codes.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills, along with highly developed oral and written communication skills.
