Shaw Systems Associates is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Azure Administrator Senior, to play a critical role in our Azure Cloud strategy.

Responsibilities
Enhancing Shaw's current Azure cloud environments
Monitoring and enhancing the security of Shaw's Azure environments
Evaluating and automating the scaling and capacity requirements within Shaw's Azure environments
Ensuring federated access across Active Directory and Azure AD
Troubleshooting and resolving Azure environment performance issues, connectivity issues, security issues, etc.
Developing and implementing our Windows Virtual Desktop strategy
Migrating legacy infrastructure to Azure; implementing new environments in the cloud
Working with DevOps and integrating the Azure infrastructure into Shaw's CI/CD process and procedures

Requirements
Strong understanding of configuring and troubleshooting Java Application Servers.
Familiarity with basic SQL Server commands, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
Ability to triage and troubleshoot client issues in a professional and timely manner.
Comfort integrating new technologies into existing systems.
Advanced experience in implementing, monitoring, and maintaining Microsoft Azure solutions, including major services related to Compute, Storage, Network and Security.
Strong knowledge of Backup, Restore, Recovery and high availability strategies for Microsoft Azure environments.
Strong knowledge with Azure AD, Active Directory including managing/maintaining multiple domains.
Advanced experience in setting up, implementing and proactively monitoring Azure environments.
Strong knowledge in implementing Azure Key Vaults and Key Rotation.
Experience in troubleshooting and resolving Azure environment performance issues, connectivity issues, security issues, etc.
Ability to identify and troubleshoot Azure server and SQL database related CPU, memory, I/O, disk space and other resources.
Strong knowledge of IaaS and PaaS services.
Strong understanding and background of working with a complex Active Directory, Azure AD, LDAP and the requirement of strictly following standards, procedures, and processes.
Windows Server and SQL database creation, configuration, upgrade, migration and patching.
Advanced knowledge of DNS, DHCP, Kerberos and Windows Authentication.
Knowledge of network protocols such as: DNS, SMTP, SNMP, SSH, SFTP.
Knowledge of Network and TCP/IP routing/subnetting.
Knowledge of Cisco network equipment/IOS: routing, switching, and firewalls.
Knowledge of Windows operating systems.
Working knowledge of VPN connectivity and client trouble shooting.
Experience with PowerShell.
Experience with Intune a plus.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Education / Certifications
Four-Year College Degree (BA or BS). A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field is highly desirable.

Location

This position may work from any of the following locations: Hybrid office schedule if within 75 miles of the Houston office. Remote with the ability to travel at least 5% from the following states: Texas if more than 75 miles from the office location, Virginia, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Louisiana, Michigan, New Jersey, Minnesota, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Utah.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has technical leadership and mentoring responsibilities.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

This is a full-time position. Days of work are Monday through Friday. The daily schedule may vary from 7 am - 4 pm, 8 am - 5 pm or 9 am - 6 pm, and occasional afterhours or weekend work may be required. Hours may vary or exceed 40 in any given week depending on the needs of the business.

Travel

Limited travel (up to 10%) is expected for this position.
