Director of Project Management

Description

We're a fast-growing construction company looking for an experienced and driven Director of Project Management/VP of Operations to lead our project management and field operations teams. This role is all about delivering projects on time, on budget, and at the highest quality; while building a high-performing team culture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, and hold accountable Project Managers and Field Managers.
• Drive customer satisfaction through consistent quality and communication.
• Track project margins, timeliness, and workflow; report progress to executive leadership.
• Hold teams accountable for meeting due dates and project deliverables.
• Forecast project milestones and billings; communicate risks and solutions proactively.
• Manage departmental budget and personnel to meet operational goals.
• Identify and implement process improvements across departments.
• Take charge of escalations and make sure corrective actions are taken and tracked.
• Coach and motivate teams; drive continuous improvement and accountability.
• Create and monitor KPIs for team performance and project success.
• Flag risks early and recommend solutions before they become problems.

Requirements

Requirements:

• 7+ years of experience in construction project management or operations leadership.
• 7+ years of managing large teams across multiple projects or regions.
• Strong financial, scheduling, and resource planning knowledge.
• Proven ability to lead both office and field personnel.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Comfortable making decisions in a fast-moving, deadline-driven environment.
