Rate of Pay: TBD for the 2025-2026 school year. Currently $106,411.36-$123,468.16, DOE
Insurance: Generous Health, dental, and vision contribution from the district, currently up to $2,179 (based upon family coverage), TBD for 2025-2026.
PERS Retirement: The district assumes and pays the 6% average employee contribution to the Oregon PERS system.
Retiree Benefits: An administrator who retires from KFCS and from PERS, with at least ten consecutive years of experience as an administrator in the district immediately prior to retirement, will receive the following retirement benefits:
One percent (1%) of the administrator's final base salary per month for a total of eight-four (84) months.
AND
Medical insurance premiums for the administrator and spouse (if necessary) for a total of eighty-four (84) months. When an administrator retires, the District will contribute up to the employee only cap or the employee-spouse cap. Should the district contribution be insufficient to pay for the monthly cost of the insurance, then the parties agree that the excess insurance premium contribution will be made by the retiree.
SUMMARY
KECDC is seeking a dedicated leader to serve as the Vice Principal of Early Learning. This individual will be responsible for the supervision of early learning programs, including but not limited to Preschool Promise, Early Intervention, and Early Childhood Special Education. The role includes oversight of both licensed and classified staff and carries primary responsibility for implementing programs and services that support school districts, children, and families.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Is responsible for the design, implementation, evaluation, improvement, and reporting requirements of programs or program strands which serve local district staff or students, and families directly or which provide consulting services to partner agency staff who serve students directly.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, EXPERIENCE:
A Master's Degree, Oregon teaching and administrative licenses or Authorization from the Oregon Department of Education as an Early Childhood Supervisor; 3-5 years of teaching experience. Early Intervention/Early Childhood Special Education (EI/ECSE) experience is preferred. Expert demonstration and knowledge in several or all areas of the position.

Is responsible for the design, implementation, evaluation, improvement, and reporting requirements of programs or program strands which serve local district staff or students, and families directly or which provide consulting services to partner agency staff who serve students directly.
- Supervises and evaluates key members of these teaching and learning staff, which may include instructional coaches and special education staff; providing support, opportunities, coaching, and guidance for professional growth, and timely performance evaluation in a manner that promotes team development and effective work.
- Expands learning opportunities for students in an ongoing effort to improve services and programs, offer instructional pathways based on best practices, and maximize progress.
- In consultation with supervisor, staff, advisory committees, District Administrator Team, and/or superintendent, determines program design and direction.
- Works to create a collaborative and innovative culture for all students and staff, across the district, and throughout the community.
- Develops new projects and writes new grants as need and opportunity arise.
- Serves as liaison to ODE and other external agencies.
- Adheres to workplace expectations.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule and travel to and from school locations in the Klamath County service area and may be required to travel on overnight assignments.
