Production Supervisor

As a Production Supervisor, you will be using your skills and expertise to oversee employees who put together component parts to make assemblies, subassemblies, packaging, or completed units.

You'll be responsible for reviewing our production schedules, material, and manpower resources, assigning employees to maximize our production objectives, informing employees of production and material problems, and resolving problems affecting schedules while maintaining the quality of our products. You'll participate in establishing and modifying our operational methods and processes by recommending changes in materials, equipment, and procedures.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field of study
• Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education
• Typically, 4+ years of progressive product technician experience, which includes 0-2+ years of management experience.
• Ability to understand and interpret technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals and/or publications
• Experience with corrective action planning
• Previous management or lead experience; the ability to recruit employees; assign, direct, and evaluate their work; and oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence
• Experience in a manufacturing, production or warehouse environment
• Thorough understanding and experience with the practical application of manufacturing principles
• Leadership and Team Management: The ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team is crucial. This includes resolving conflicts, providing constructive feedback, and fostering a positive work environment.
• Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills are essential for interacting with team members, other departments, and senior management.
• Problem-Solving Skills: The ability to quickly identify issues, analyze problems, and implement effective solutions is important to minimize production downtime and maintain efficiency.
• Time Management: Efficiently managing time and prioritizing tasks to ensure production schedules are met is critical.
• Technical Skills: A strong understanding of the machinery, equipment, and technology used in the production process. This might include knowledge of specific software or tools relevant to the industry.
• Quality Control: Knowledge of quality standards and the ability to implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure products meet required specifications.
• Safety Awareness: Understanding and enforcing safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
• Production Planning and Scheduling: The ability to plan, organize, and oversee production schedules to meet deadlines and optimize workflow.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required

• Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military

• Inventory Management: Managing inventory levels to ensure that materials and supplies are available when needed without overstocking.
• Continuous Improvement: A commitment to continuous improvement practices, such as Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma, to enhance production efficiency and quality.
• Budget Management: Understanding and managing the budget for the production department, including cost control and resource allocation.

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $85,768.30 - $117,931.40. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, such as candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.

SNC offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.
