SPECIFIC DUTIES
Provide software development and maintenance support for the PeopleSoft Finance Supply Chain Management and PeopleSoft Human Capital Management software modules. The candidate will be responsible for performing assigned production support problem tickets which require working with customer to replicate problem and may involve research and coding modifications to support the PeopleSoft production operations.

Tasks will require effective and professional communication skills (both written and oral) when
interacting with information technology (IT) staff and customers. Act as a mentor to Savannah River Nuclear Solutions (SRNS) IT staff by:

1. Sharing insights and prior lessons learned from previous PeopleSoft experience.
2. Providing and teaching knowledge about PeopleSoft development tools to accelerate
the learning curve and ability of junior SRNS staff to support PeopleSoft modules.

Adhere to all required SRNS IT protocols and standards in the development and support of
enterprise computer system applications. Be available on site during normal business hours for
questions, resolve problems, etc. This position may require some rotational 24 x 7 on&call
coverage to support the PeopleSoft applications, as well as occasionally use of a flexible work
schedule which may include some overtime (OT) or schedule adjustment as needs arise to
support ongoing system operations such as payroll processing, month end or yearend closing,
and system upgrades. Generate electronic weekly status reports to IT lead and subcontract
technical representative (STR).

Candidate should be able to work with little to no direction to complete assigned software
development / maintenance tasks and system / process analyst tasks. Be able to produce
quality, easily maintainable application code.

DUTIES

Apply technical experience in field of specialization or broad-based experience in multiple technical fields, and use other technical resources within the company, to resolve complex problems.

Incorporate advanced technical practices and a variety of complex features such as complicated technical requirements, application of new or special materials or processes and difficult coordination or oversight requirements into problem solving and program planning.

Provide leadership in determining solutions to complex problems and be recognized as having expertise in a functional area(s) of technical expertise.

Develop solutions to complex technical problems in fields of expertise.

Keep informed on technical needs within the company and technical trends in area of expertise in the external world.

Be aware of capabilities of the work group and needs of its customers. Identify technical programs which can be carried out with little guidance and take the initiative to accomplish them.

Lead task teams for developing solutions to more complex problems. Prepare plans including schedules, budgets and personnel requirements for solving major technical tasks identified by management.

Develop schedules, monitor progress, monitor expenditures of budget and review quality of work

performed. Include research, development, testing, quality assurance requirements.

Communicate the results and objectives verbally and in manuscript form to customers, colleagues, managers, and oversight groups.

Prepare reports for external publication.

WORK HOURS:
Up to a 40-hour work week is scheduled. SRNS utilizes various work schedules including

5/8s (8 hour/day; five days per week), 4/10's (10 hours/day; four days per week), and 9/80's (9 hours/day, five days on week AA and four days on week BB. Work week excludes SRNS holidays. Each workday has 30-minute lunch. Overtime will be expected at times to meet deliverables and will be utilized at the discretion of the Design Authority Manager.

AREA SECURITY ACCESS:
Security Clearance is not required to complete assigned duties.

EDUCATION:

An advanced degree and experience, a Ph.D. degree and about 10 years' experience. OR A

MS degree and 12 years' experience. OR A BS degree and approximately 15 years' experience.

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

Demonstrated a minimum of 20 years of experience in developing and supporting

PeopleSoft software applications. They must be familiar with Finance modules (General ledger, Project Costing, Billing, Payables, Commitment Control, Cash Management, Receivables), Supply Chain Management modules (Contracts, Inventory, Service Procurement, Purchasing, eProcurement), PeopleSoft Human Capital Management modules (HR, Benefits, Payroll, and eCompensation, eCompensation Manager, eBenefits) and PeopleSoft Customer Relationship Management modules (Customer Service Management).

Demonstrated proficiency in PeopleSoft development technologies, PeopleTools 8.61.08 or higher and supporting PeopleSoft Applications including: Application Designer, Integration Broker, Component Interfaces, Application Engine, Work Flow, SQR and Fluid development.

Experience with PeopleSoft Finance and Supply Chain Finance version 9.2.049 or higher. Experience with PeopleSoft HRMS version 9.2.51 or higher. Experience with Peoplesoft CRM version 9.2.22 or higher.

Demonstrate experience and support of the PeopleSoft's Buyers Workbench.

Demonstrated Knowledge of Microsoft products (Word, Excel).

Demonstrated experience with Oracle relational database management systems.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Demonstrate experience with DOE and NNSA reporting, including receiving and processing the Financial Planning (FinPlan), processing of the Department of Energy Consolidated Audit Program-Accreditation Program (DOEPAC) interfaces and handling Standard Accounting and Reporting System (STARS) reporting and interfaces.
  • Demonstrated familiarity with configuration management tool, STAT.
  • Demonstrated familiarity with the text editor tool, UltraEdit.
  • Demonstrated experience with applying PeopleSoft Update Manager (PUM) images - both full and selective adoptions.
  • Demonstrated experience with enabling and supporting Fluid pages within PeopleSoft.
  • Demonstrated experience with support of Pathlock single sign on software for PeopleSoft.


Work Environment / Physical Demands:
Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. Light to moderate lifting may be required for packages and other items, ability to walk short distances, may be regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and keyboard.
