$72,720.00 - $90,900.00

We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time temporary Quality Assurance Specialist (Regulatory) to join our Quality Assurance team in Langley, BC.
This temporary position is expected to last 12 months.
Reporting to the Supervisor, Quality Assurance, you will be responsible for carrying out all regulatory aspects of the quality assurance program as it relates to providing and maintaining best in class products for the Pattison Food Group (PFG) brands.
You will be responsible for:
- Acting as a subject matter expert on product quality, industry standards, and regulatory compliance for all PFG food products.
- Supporting the development of PFG branded co-pack and manufactured products.
- Working with brand departments and suppliers to ensure labeling requirements are met for all new and updated product packaging.
- Reviewing and approving required documentation for all PFG branded products, including specifications, certifications, art production files, and label proofs.
- Working with in-house teams and suppliers to correct discrepancies between finished products and approved specifications.
- Tracking regulatory updates on project timelines and following up with stakeholders.
- Training stakeholders on Health Canada or CFIA regulation updates and quality assurance requirements.
- Supporting product complaint investigations and responding to inquiries.
- Supporting new supplier approval and import control as required.
You have:
- 3-5 years of food industry and regulatory compliance experience.
- A bachelor's degree in microbiology, food science or other relevant discipline.
- Working knowledge of government labelling regulations and claims related to food, non-food, OTC pharmaceutical, pet food, and cosmetic products.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- A solid understanding of Health Canada and CFIA/USDA regulations
