Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring a Propane Operations Manager on a permanent basis for our propane team. This position requires on-site work and can be based in Meadow Lake, La Ronge, SK, or Flin Flon, MB.

What you'll do:
  • Direct the operations, safety, and sales of our propane business in Northern Saskatchewan through effective communication on branch goals and proper tracking.
  • Remain well-versed in propane market trends and actively search for sustainable growth opportunities in an increasingly competitive market.
  • Build strong relationships with suppliers, customers, and the community to foster ongoing success, service, and a positive image.
  • Ensure the region is adhering to all industry regulations and safety requirements.
  • Employ financial and business acumen through creating and maintaining the region budget and analyzing region results on a monthly basis.
  • Provide positive and engaging leadership to the branch and support HR activities such as training, performance management, recruitment, etc.

Who you'll work with:

The Team: You will have three supervisors reporting into you from our Meadow Lake, La Ronge and Flin Flon branches and will oversee their direction of the distribution coordinators, drivers, and service technicians. This team strives to cultivate a culture of continuous improvement, employee engagement, and exceptional service.

The Customers: You will demonstrate customer focus while supportingthe Northern Saskatchewan region's rural, commercial, and residential propane customers.

Who you are:

You are looking for a career in management and:
  • Have 8+ years of progressively responsible experience in the Energy Service Industry. Experience in management/supervisory roles is required and experience in the propane industry is preferred.
  • Ideally, have some form of post-secondary education (e.g., certificate, diploma, or degree).
  • Are skilled in communication, conflict management, and continuous improvement.
