Job Summary

Seeking experienced, highly flexible and self-motivated individual for very fast paced work environment in Capital Markets Treasury Management Services (TMS) desk applications and their interface with various upstream, downstream, infrastructure, database and more. This role requires candidate to support strategic initiatives related to process improvement, release automation, proactive monitoring automation and enforcing compliance across the applications to drive down incidents and maintain production stability.

The incumbent will be coordinating with various application development teams, upstream and downstream systems support, process monitoring, working on releases, liaison with the business users and work towards minimizing the adverse impact of application outages/Incidents. Candidate should also be owning problem management process and work towards minimizing the adverse impact of application outages/Incidents and preventing reoccurrence of Incidents.

Job Description

What will you do?
  • Candidate overall responsibilities include supporting applications & infrastructure with 24x7 uptime, working with business users, change management, incident & problem management, audit and compliance reviews, EOD batch monitoring, tasks automation, BCP testing, infrastructure planning and implementation.
  • Candidate would be working with Senior Management, Front office business users, Traders, Quants, Risk Managers, Product Control etc., groups located in various geographic locations. Candidate would be proactively identifying operational risks/control deficiencies in the business, review and comply with firm policies applicable to business activities.
  • Liaise with internal development teams to resolve application issues, find root cause, document the process recovery/workaround steps to minimize impact of recurring production issues and working towards a permanent solution.
  • Proactively prepare for planned maintenance over weekends, DR exercises and all major rollouts. Take initiative, quick coordination of resources to resolve IT production incidents, ensure logging of application incidents, and track action items towards resolution.
  • Provide regular updates and status to stakeholders on open issues, ensures systems delivered to production environments meet enterprise quality requirements.
  • Escalate operational risk loss events, control deficiencies and risks that you identify to your line Manager, and appropriate control functions on a timely basis.
  • Work towards addressing server vulnerabilities, TSS failures etc.
  • Provide subject matter experience and guidance to junior team members and offshore team.


What do you need to succeed?

Must Have:
  • 5+ years of experience supporting production environment. Minimum 2 years of experience in Capital Markets (Derivatives, Structured Products, Futures, Bonds)
  • Prior in-depth experience in implementing and supporting large-scale production systems, end of day monitoring, root cause analysis and problem-solving skill.
  • Experience with application troubleshooting using logs from Linux and/or Windows based software application.
  • Excellent knowledge or experience with ServiceNow, Confluence and Jira.
  • Good knowledge of monitoring tools (ITRS Geneos, Grafana) & Job Scheduler (Control-M).
  • Knowledge of Shell/Python Scripting, Oracle/Sybase/Microsoft SQL Server, MQ, SOLACE.
  • Knowledge of Windows and UNIX environment. Ability to write simple to complex SQL queries.
  • Analytical and fast-learning skills to analyze existing systems and liaise with business/development team for system improvement.
  • 24x7 on-call based on shift assigned for end of day monitoring.


Nice to have:
  • Understanding of ITIL processes.
  • Knowledge of Devops and Cloud technologies.
  • Effective negotiation skills and stakeholder management skills.
  • Knowledge of Business Intelligence Reporting tools (Tableau, etc.).
