This position will support Arvana, which includes Adepto Medical and Pioneer Biomedical-subsidiaries of Prescott's, Inc.
As the Controller of Arvana, you will play a crucial role in the financial management and success of our company. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial operations, including budgeting, financial planning and analysis, financial reporting, and risk management. The Controller will work closely with Prescott's Inc. CFO and Corporate Controller as well as the Arvana General Manager and leadership team to drive strategic financial decisions and provide insights to support the company's growth and profitability objectives.
The location of this position will be in Kansas City, Missouri.

As the Controller of Arvana, you will play a crucial role in the financial management and success of our company. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial operations, including budgeting, financial planning and analysis, financial reporting, and risk management. The Controller will work closely with Prescott's Inc. Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of financial operations, including budgeting, financial planning and analysis, and financial reporting.
- Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Prepare financial statements and analysis, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
- Prepare and present financial results as part of the monthly management meetings.
- Coordinate and oversee the preparation of sales tax returns and ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
- Maintains a documented system of accounting policies and procedures; implements a system of controls over accounting transactions to minimize risk.
- Oversee the production of periodic financial reports; ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or international financial reporting standards.
- Recommends benchmarks that will be used to measure the company's performance.
- Produces the annual budget and forecasts; reports significant budget differences to management.
- Provides financial analysis, with emphasis on capital investments.
- Works with external auditors and provides needed information for the annual audit.
- Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.
- Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.
- Oversees the operations of the Accounting department, which includes accounts payable, accounts receivable, and treasury management.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- CPA certification preferred
- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in financial management roles
- Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles and practices.
- Proven experience in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in financial software and systems, with the ability to adapt and learn new systems.
- Expert in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Must pass a background check and a drug test
