Overview

The VP role will report into the Senior Vice President position and will be a part of the Media Operations Team. This team works collectively to ensure budget and revenue delivery, with clear communication across various investment teams and partner agencies (i.e. clients), with a focus on automation and system connections.

As the Vice President of Revenue Operations, you'll be responsible for designing scalable, robust, and efficient systems that incorporate technology and ensure seamless integration with various components of the media ecosystem, including billing, reporting, and other functions.

This cross-functional role demands collaboration with multiple teams, including investment, finance, sales, agency teams, and key leadership. A strong emphasis will be placed on leveraging insights and analytics to drive decision-making.

In addition to your technical responsibilities, you'll also manage the execution of critical business analyses and key performance indicators (KPIs) for executive leadership. As the subject matter expert in Revenue Operations and products, you'll serve as a key partner and liaison between sales and finance, facilitating revenue and business operations work.

Your goal will be to enhance the value of our Media Operations and our advanced strategic and analytical insights. You'll also work to evolve revenue operations processes related to financial forecasting and pacing across all businesses and products. Additionally, you'll participate in leadership projects to identify new business solutions for agencies.

You'll collaborate with various teams to improve their workflow and automation opportunities for data output.

Responsibilities

  • Communication
    • Identify best practices and opportunities for improvement within workflow process and communication protocols
    • Encourage strategic thinking/solutions to team; provide examples and feedback in team meetings
    • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to identify key analytics use cases and deliver actionable insights that drive business decisions.
    • Effectively communicate complex data and system solutions in a clear and actionable manner to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Managing Business & Operations
    • Manage the strategy and delivery of key business analysis and KPI tracking for executive leadership
    • Be the subject matter expert Revenue Operations and products as it relates to our business model
    • Serve as the key partner and liaison to both sales and finance for revenue and business operations work
    • Grow the value and Media Operations and our advanced strategic and analytical insights
    • Evolve revenue ops processes related to financial forecasting and pacing across all businesses and products
    • Participate in leadership projects to identify new business solutions for agency
    • Work across various teams to improve their workflow and automation opportunities for data output

    TECHNICAL SKILL REQUIREMENTS

    We value diversity of thought and experiences at APEX! If you learned about media from the sales or agency side, that's great but we do need folks with advanced level of understanding of how media investment works.

    • Responsible for working in a fast-paced environment with a diverse group of individuals, client accounts, vendors/partners and as a liaison between buying, planning, the creative and engineering community.
    • Candidate will work on a variety of projects at one time acting as lead and serving as a supporting player on other team projects.
    • Strong media financial acumen is mandatory
    • Business financial acumen is preferred
    • Advanced understanding of the media landscape

    Qualifications

    • The ideal candidate will have 7-10+ years of experience in business or revenue operations, finance, commercial, or analytics functions - preferably in advertising or media sectors
    • A strong conceptual thinker who can input on ways to reinvent our process and approach
    • Can manage complexity and ambiguity comfortably and work in a highly matrixed environment
    • Experience working in a fast-paced agency environment
    • Ability to multi-task and manage various projects simultaneously
    • Takes initiative; self-starter; ability and desire to master the advertising marketplace as well as the Publicis business
    • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines and strong follow through
    • Strong analytical and excel skills
    • Familiarity with agency operations and digital advertising business models
    • Extremely organized with attention to detail and an eagerness to learn
    • Experience in Salesforce, Tableau and advanced reporting is strongly preferred
    • Familiarity with Mediaocean OX/Prisma reporting is a plus

    Compensation Range: $146,490 - $230,460 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
