Space Solutions Architect

Radiance Technologies, a 100% employee-owned company, is seeking candidates for the Space Solutions Architect to serve on the Space Group leadership team. This position requires a talented and experienced technical leader that will help lead, direct, assist, and develop technical approaches and solutions for the Space Group within the space market. The Space Solutions Architect will support the direction for current and future programs; help mature Space Group technical capabilities; manage technical conference attendance, presentations, and exhibits; and manage technical writing processes, methodologies, standards, and peer review across the Space Group.

Primary Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical capture lead for the Space Group's new business opportunities, particularly those requiring Guidance, Navigation and Control (GNC), Position, Navigation and Timing (PNT), Radio Frequency (RF) and Electro-Optical Infrared (EO/IR) space sensing solutions.
• Help develop and execute technical maturation strategies that integrate current functional and mission capabilities, targeted future capabilities based upon customer mission analysis, and technical growth areas to bridge current and future capabilities.
• Identify active and contributing customer-funded activities and proposed Internal Research and Development (IRAD) necessary for technical growth areas.
• Collaborate with internal leadership teams, industry and Government partners and customers to identify and understand critical mission needs, develop business strategies, and market potential solutions that align with customer requirements.
• Support the development of technical proposals

Required Skill and Experience

• Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related STEM field with at least 10+ years of relevant work experience, or a Master's degree with 7+ years of related work experience.
• Technical Leadership: At least 5+ years of demonstrated technical leadership in the design, analysis, development, production, and operation of space-based sensors.
• Expertise in National Security Space: Solid understanding of the national security space community, including missions, customers, and stakeholders.
• Collaboration & Leadership: Strong technical leadership, problem-solving, and collaboration skills, including experience mentoring and leading multidisciplinary technical teams.
• Clearance Requirements: Active DoD TS clearance.

Desired Qualifications

• Experience: 10+ years of supporting national security space missions and customers, with a focus on space-based sensing technologies.
• Innovation & Technical Solutions: 10+ years of proven experience driving innovation and technical solution development in space-based sensing systems.
• Capture and Proposal Experience: Experience as a Space Technical Lead and/or Technical Volume Lead on captures and proposals for medium to large-sized efforts.
• Technical Communication Skills: Expertise in articulating complex technical concepts and solutions to diverse audiences, including customers, business development teams, program execution teams, technical experts, and executives-both orally and in writing.
