Position Summary

Bonaventure is seeking a Head of Tax Equity Solutions Leader to lead our efforts in providing investors with expert tax-deferred exchange solutions for their real estate investments, particularly through 1031 exchanges. This role is crucial for driving value and ensuring our clients receive the best possible guidance and support in their tax deferral strategies. You will be at the forefront of educating clients, attending to their needs, designing solutions, and advising on transaction structures. Success in this seat will require a proactive leader who is hungry, curious, driven, and a producer of results.

You are a natural born leader who can own project timelines, foster collaboration across various lines of business, handle multiple projects simultaneously while prioritizing as needed, and lead a team to success.

What You Will Do
  • Business Development: Identify and target potential clients in the real estate market, pursue leads to utilize our exchange services, manage the pipeline of prospective and existing clients, gateways, and centers of influence, cultivate relationships, bring in new business, raise equity, and grow the business by networking with organizations and individuals through attending events and conferences.
  • Revenue Generation: Achieve set revenue goals while serving the client's best interests.
  • Lead Consulting Services and Domain Expertise: Act as an advisor to clients, providing education on tax deferral strategies, particularly 1031 exchanges and transaction structures. Lead our 1031 consulting services program on engagements, analyze clients' situations, and devise solutions that encompass tax, estate planning, trust, and advanced 1031 exchange tools.
  • Client Relationship Management: You will constantly be developing relationships with prospective clients, while maintaining existing client relationships. You will understand and address the needs of clients, ensuring they receive personalized and effective solutions to their problems. You will also be expected to conduct educational seminars for current and future clients from time to time.
  • Deal Structure and Solution Design: Structure deals and execute transactions to implement tax deferral strategies while helping our clients reach their long-term goals.
  • Market Intelligence: Stay constantly updated on market intelligence to provide clients with the most current and relevant information and possess a strong understanding of our services, our competition in the industry and positioning.

Qualifications
  • 15+ years' experience in and industry knowledge of 1031 exchange business
  • 5+ years' experience in business development and relationship management, including gaining new deposit business.
  • Book of business required.
  • Proficient use of CRM tools.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to conduct educational seminars.
  • Experience with tax and real estate concepts preferred, but not required.
  • Well-connected in the real estate investment community
