Job Description
The University of Alabama at Birmingham, Department of Ophthalmology, has an opening for an Optometrist. This position is full-time, tenure earning at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. Responsibilities include patient care, didactic and clinical teaching, and opportunities for basic and clinical research. We seek a highly-collaborative individual who has a desire to participate in all three mission areas, including the opportunity to develop a research program. There is immediate need to engage in a robust clinical environment within the Callahan Eye Hospital.
Required Qualifications
Candidates must have graduated from a fully accredited optometry residency program and be eligible for an Alabama Board of Optometry license.
Preferred Qualifications
Additional subspecialty residency or fellowship training preferred.
