The Operations Engineer II (level 2) reports to Technical Leadership and provides manufacturing expertise to solve difficult problems and continuously improve our manufacturing organization and/or supply base. Provides leadership and direction in manufacturing for programming, processing, tooling or working with development engineering on new hardware.

Provides leadership and direction in manufacturing for programming, processing, tooling or working with development engineering on new hardware.
What You Will Be Doing
- Solve operational challenges, create cell layouts, and implement Six Sigma and lean tools for enhanced efficiency.
- Address process-related questions on the floor, develop and train team members, and create/document new procedures.
- Justify and implement new equipment purchases while applying DFMA principles to support product launches.
- Implement complex engineering changes, adhere to quality requirements, and contribute to audits and quality documentation.
- Create and maintain process documentation, while initiating tools like Process Flow Charts, PFMEA, and Control Plans.
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering required
- 2+ years Engineering experience or a combination of experience and advanced degree required
- Understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g., CNC programming, Gage R&R, machine capability), machinery troubleshooting (electrical, mechanical, hydraulic), and product drawings (GD&T, specification flow down), assembly and test.
- Basic troubleshooting and root cause analysis, coupled with Six Sigma knowledge and Lean Manufacturing concepts.
- Familiarity with Design for Manufacturability and Assembly (DFMA) concepts, machine drawings, programming tools (e.g., G Code, CNC, PLC), and database management software.
- Strong written/verbal communication, presentation abilities, project planning tools, and technical writing skills.
