Salary Range: $85,000 - $110,000. Placement in the range is commensurate with experience.

We are seeking a full-time Assistant Director of Athletics for Program beginning July 2025. This individual will serve as the primary point of contact for coaches and oversee the daily operations of the Athletics Department, working closely with and supporting the Athletics and Physical Education Administration. The Assistant Director of Athletics for Program is expected to uphold the values and ethics of the Dalton School and its Athletics Department.

Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary liaison for coaches and department correspondence.
- Develop practice schedules.
- Schedule and confirm games, including coordinating opponents and officials.
- Organize transportation for Middle and High School teams.
- Manage communications with school administrative offices.
- Prepare and maintain coaching manuals.
- Support the coordination of special events and overnight trips.
- Oversee 7th & 8th grade daily attendance and dismissals.
- Assist with the tryout and selection process for teams.
- Oversee Spring Break training trip.
- Assist in hiring, professional development, and evaluation of coaches.
- Coach Middle/High School teams and teach physical education classes as needed.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Athletic Director.
Qualifications:
- Significant experience as an athletics administrator and coach at the middle and high school levels.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Availability to work extended hours based on practice and game schedules.
- Strong collaboration, organizational, and communication skills.
- Exceptional attention to accuracy and detail.
- Ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment.
- Proficiency in Mac OS, Microsoft Office Suite, and Google Drive (Docs, Forms, and Sheets)
- Experience with Blackbaud or a related CMS is preferred.
