Come and join the fast-growing Amazon Business! Amazon Business (AB) seeks a Finance Manager to build and support its newly established Managed Spend Deal Desk operations. This role will be responsible for partnering across teams to streamline and drive efficiency of our end-to-end deal analysis process, partnering with the business for shaping best deal winning strategy to accelerate AB profitable growth.

Key job responsibilities

The role will develop deep understanding of business drivers and incorporate them into financial modeling. The role will build ROI analysis of bespoke customer deals and communicate to US CPS and AB leadership, as well as track the actual results of deal launches. The role will propose scalable and standard approaches for deal analysis. The role will build new metrics to target business results, build & automate new reporting to allow business track progress against these metrics. The role will be engaged into development of new programs and sales motions to accelerate growth.

A day in the life

The role requires high degree of learn and be curious to understand needs of our customers, and bias for action to navigate in a start-up-like, ambiguous, customer facing environment. The role will be responsible to execute on one or several cross-CPS SMEship projects and analysis, with broad scope and visibility to AB senior leadership. Finally, this role requires the capability to clearly articulate the financial aspects and takeaways of their analyses to influence senior leaders.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience

- BA or BS in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Math, Computer Science) and 5+ years of finance experience, or Master's degree and 3+ years of finance experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience

- MBA, or CPA

- Knowledge of SQL/ETL

- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
