Overview
Mercy Medical Group, a service of Dignity Health Medical Foundation, is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) t o join our established Outpatient Cardiology team in East Sacramento . This is a full-time opportunity with a Monday through Friday schedule and no call, weekends, or nights required.
You'll be part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team of board-certified cardiologists, nurse practitioners, and dedicated support staff providing high-quality cardiovascular care to a diverse patient population. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including health history, physical examination, and diagnostic tests as needed
- Develop and implement treatment plans for patients with acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests and laboratory studies
- Prescribe medications and other treatments as necessary
- Provide patient education and counseling on disease management, lifestyle modification, and medication adherence
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible patient outcomes
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education programs to maintain and enhance clinical skills and knowledge
- Licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the state of California
- Minimum 2 years of experience in cardiology or a related specialty
- Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities
