General Summary:

Qualcomm mixed-signal IP design team is seeking talented senior ASIC digital designers to join our efforts in developing the next generation of high-speed interfaces. These interfaces include SerDes, DDR, and Die-to-Die technologies, which are integral to Qualcomm's cutting-edge products for AI/ML, computing, and automotive applications.

This position is for San Diego location only.

Responsibilities:

- Participate in defining standard and Qualcomm proprietary high-speed interface PHYs

- Work with cross functional team for architecture definition of the high-speed interfaces

- Define, document and design the microarchitecture of IP blocks

- Own the RTL design for the IP blocks and implement the specification for logic components

- Apply computer architecture and optimization techniques for improving power, performance, and area of the IPs

- Assist in running the full suite of front-end ASIC design tools (lint checking, CDC, DFT, synthesis, FV, STA, etc.)
- Develop detailed digital hardware design specification documents and verification plans
- Work with physical design (PD) team for physical implementation of the IPs
- Work with design verification (DV) team to define test plans, verify the design, and fix bugs
- Work with testing team for silicon bringup and debugging

Minimum Qualifications
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of strong experience in micro-architecture and RTL design

- Proficiency with front-end ASIC design tools such as Design Compiler, primetime, PTPX, Modelsim, DFT compiler, Tessent, and Spyglass.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with mixed-signal IPs, such as SerDes, DDR, and Die-to-Die links
- Experience in low-power digital design
- Experience in creating tools and automation flows (in Python, Perl, or C) for improving productivity and efficiency
- Experience supporting mixed-signal design verification

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 4+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 3+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Science, Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.

Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits:
$140,000.00 - $210,000.00

The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm.
