Description:
Rohde & Schwarz Technology Systems group is looking for a highly motivated Secure/Radio Communications System Engineer to support the U.S. sales team. As a Technology Systems Engineer, you will be part of a customer-focused team dedicated to maximizing sales through the development of new business and working closely with our existing customers utilizing a solutions-based sales approach. This position is based out of our Maryland headquarters in Columbia, MD or our Texas production facility in the DFW area.

The total compensation for this position is $133K-$200K. Total compensation includes base salary, variable pay (when applicable) plus benefits. The range is determined by the position, geographic location and level. Individual pay within the range is determined by several factors including location, education or training, relevant work history, sales incentive structure and job-related skills.

Your tasks
- Provide pre/post sales technical support to customers
- Work with customers and product management/development teams to solve customer problems
- Work with customers to understand their requirements and develop a solution based on the R&S portfolio of products
- Support development of technical designs and proposals
- Develop designs and documentation according to customer requirements and internal standards.
- Support development of strategy as a subject matter expert
- Perform demonstrations, training and participate in trade shows
- Methodically evaluate and test new products to support fielded customer with upgrades.

Your qualifications
- BSEE, MSEE or other relevant engineering degree
- Strong RF system deployment experience preferred
- Understanding of antenna co-site interference and mitigation techniques
- Experience with DoD contracting in C5ISR fields highly beneficial.
- Excellent understanding of technical standards, principles, theories, concepts and techniques for analyzing various systems.
- In-Depth knowledge of HF/VHF/UHF military radio communications
- Experience with IP networks, RF waveforms, and modems
- Familiar with MIL-STDs relevant to deployment of C5ISR equipment (MIL-STD 810, MIL-STD 461)
- Ability to travel throughout North America and Europe up to 40%.
- Strong communication skills.
- Must be U.S. person capable of receiving U.S. Gov't security clearance
