We are looking for Tax Manager. This position will be based in Iselin, NJ. Siemens works in a Hybrid approach. You will be expected to be in the office 1-2 days a week.

Responsibilities:
  • Understand and help maintain models to forecast the Company's tax position over a continuously rolling multi-year period into the future so that the Company's tax position can be optimized.
  • Develop an overall understanding of Company operations, financial reporting and tax compliance systems, and marry that with the tax forecasting model above and then assist in identifying appropriate tax planning opportunities/optimization strategies.
  • Interpret tax laws and rulings and incorporate same into the tax forecasting model and as a result, resolve questions from the business and senior management.
  • Prepare and review proforma federal returns using Corptax.
  • Prepare and review consolidated/combined state corporate income tax returns, using Corptax, in-house or by third party preparer, including state extensions and quarterly payment calculations
  • Prepare and review federal consolidated return adjustments, such as intercompany eliminations, tax attributes and other complex tax computations
  • Preparation and review of monthly and annual income tax provisions and Provision to Return analysis using Corptax Provision.
  • Ensure the accuracy of tax returns, tax provisions and other required reports including retention of documentation supporting tax positions under examination by tax authorities.
  • Stay current on proposed and final tax law changes in order to promote awareness and assess potential impacts to Siemens from such changes.
  • Interacts with the operating company's personnel, third party advisors and taxing authorities on tax provision, compliance, planning and controversy issues.
  • Proactively seeks to streamline compliance process, and to create efficiencies through automation.
  • Learn the organization's business and contribute to problem resolution when issues identified.

You'll win us over by having the following qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:
  • BS/BA in Accounting required
  • 6 + years of experience in preparing/reviewing consolidated federal and state corporate income tax returns
  • 6+ years' experience of technical and practical knowledge of corporate income tax and accounting for income taxes
  • 6+ years' experience in digital literacy with Microsoft Excel
  • Must be authorized to work in the US without need of visa sponsorship now or in the future

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Tax or Accounting a plus
  • 4 + years in Public Accounting
  • CPA
  • Experience with Corptax Software with SAP, Adobe Acrobat, analytical tools like Alteryx, Power Query, and dashboard tools like Tableau
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent organization and follow-up skills including the ability to handle competing priorities and meet all commitments.

  • The pay range for this position is $88,060 -$150,960 and the annual incentive target will be 10% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
