Join us to make legends happen! THE ROLE Legends is currently seeking to fill a position as Project Director. The Project Director will report to the Project Executive and Vice President and will be responsible for interacting with the client and the design and construction teams in a collaborative approach for the effective execution of the work throughout the project including managing staff, implementing the day-to-day on-site activities, communication with the project stakeholders, interaction with building and utility departments, from design through turnover and closeout of the project. We are looking for experienced industry professionals with previous experience in sports and entertainment venue development. ESSENTIAL DUTES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • On site oversight and management of project staff assigned to the project.
  • Communication with clients and project stakeholders regarding key project issues and updates.
  • Manage procurement and coordination of necessary contractors, vendors, and consultants.
  • Monitor and manage progress of design team and construction team throughout the duration of the project.
  • Assemble and maintain reliable project budgets and monitor adherence by all parties to the agreed budgets regarding the described responsibilities.
  • Monitor adherence to the agreed project schedule and advise of recovery measures as may be required.
  • Reporting to client on budget, schedule, and other project activities.
  • Report on quality of the work and manage resolution of all non-compliance items.
  • Review of project invoices and payment applications.
  • Assist in obtaining all permits, inspections and approvals.
  • Maintaining project files and document distribution.
  • Maintain meeting minutes and other required reports.
  • Manage turnover of the project to the client, and closeout of all assigned project contracts and accounts.
  • Management of and assisting in training and mentoring of project staff.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with all Legends & ASM policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.   • Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Building Construction, Engineering, or Architecture is preferred.
  • 20+ years of experience as project engineer, project manager or construction administration representative for a major design, construction or program management firm.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, quickly establishing credibility with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Superior collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency with technology including MS 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Sharepoint), Procore, and MS Project or Primavera P6. Please highlight any other programs/applications that you have proficiency in.
  • Ability to multi-task and produce all deliverables in a timely manner.
  • This position requires heavy travel or relocation to project site, and the ability to work effectively on the road and in fast-paced jobsite environments.
  • Must be flexible to work non-traditional hours due to the accelerated nature of the projects.
