Job Summary

The Project Manager is responsible for directing in-house crews and subcontractors throughout project execution. You will lead project teams during project bidding, planning and execution while meeting business goals and customer satisfaction by executing complex Traffic Signal projects on time and budget. The Traffic Signal Project Manager is considered an SME and should possess detailed knowledge of traffic signal infrastructure both above and underground and be prepared to support our customers and teams to find solutions to complete the projects if issues arise.

Responsibilities

• Manage and lead internal and external project teams to ensure on-budget and on-schedule delivery.
• Report and communicate to external customer(s) and internal management each day.
• Build processes and teams required to deliver all project requirements.
• Lead weekly meetings with the client and project team.
• Send crews to projects and direct them on the overall tasks needed to be completed.
• Bid and bill each project once complete.
• Approve timesheets and daily logs.
• Ensure the crew has the correct equipment needed for the project.
• Manage all aspects of the assigned projects from start through closeout.
• Create, update, and distribute the project schedule to ensure project milestones are met (two week look ahead schedules included).
• Responsible for the project setup, budget entry into the company computer software, issuance of purchase orders for all materials and subcontractors, and maintain project files (schedule of values included).
• Maintain and keep current all construction documents (Submittals, RFI's, change orders, etc.).
• Work with estimator to organize a pre-construction meeting with the key supervisor, foreman and Operations Manager to assist in the productive progress of the project.
• Conduct regular field inspections ensuring compliance with contract documents.
• Attend all project, pre-construction, job site and substantial and final completion meetings as required.
• Review daily timesheets and reports.
• Review and approve subcontractor monthly payment requests and submit for payment.
• Prepare monthly cost to complete and projected profit against budget along with monthly invoicing.
• Facilitate change orders and closeout documentation with clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering, Construction Management or Project Management.
• 7-10 years of construction project experience.
• OSHA 10 certification.
• Fundamental knowledge of Microsoft Project

Preferred

• OSHA 30 certification
• PMP certification, PMI
• IMSA Level 1 Traffic Signal Technician certification or higher
• IMSA Work Zone Safety certification

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, and scanners.
