Job Description

McDonald's has set an ambition to become a Global Indirect Sourcing and Procurement leader. To make this happen, we are standing up a new Global Indirect Sourcing and Procurement Organization (IS&P). This organization will help McDonald's to better leverage our scale and unlock sustainable value for our company and communities. We are transforming our Indirect Sourcing and Procurement capabilities, processes, solutions, and ways of working to create One McDonald's Way of buying Indirect goods and services responsibly. This role presents an exceptional career opportunity to be a part of this journey as the Strategic Sourcing & Relationship Management Lead.

This role is responsible for supporting the business as they collaborate with their top, strategic IT suppliers / vendors, including coordination of activities (i.e., identifying stakeholders for Quarterly Business Reviews). It is expected that this role excels working independently, while effectively communicating to executive leaders to drive desired outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • Business Partnership: Serve as a strategic Business Partner with Enterprise Relationship Managers to provide recommended supplier management policies and procedures, including supplier performance targets and assessment criteria
  • Supplier Segmentation Framework: Develop a best-in-class IT supplier segmentation framework, using specific assessment criteria (e.g., risk, spend, etc.) to influence business decisions on strategic IT vendors / suppliers
  • Contractual / Commercial Performance Management: Monitor and ensure all parties involved in a contract (such as IT service providers, vendors, or contractors) fulfill their obligations as specified in the contract. Focusing on
  • Business Partnership: Serve as a strategic Business Partner with Enterprise Relationship Managers to provide recommended supplier management policies and procedures, including supplier performance targets and assessment criteria
  • Supplier Segmentation Framework: Develop a best-in-class IT supplier segmentation framework, using specific assessment criteria (e.g., risk, spend, etc.) to influence business decisions on strategic IT vendors / suppliers
  • Contractual / Commercial Performance Management: Monitor and ensure all parties involved in a contract (such as IT service providers, vendors, or contractors) fulfill their obligations as specified in the contract. Focusing on assessingthe performanceof IT contract terms, conditions, and deliverables to ensure compliance with agreed-upon standards, timelines, and quality levels.
  • Portfolio Management: Collaborate with the other category lead & sourcing managers to develop and execute strategies for efficient IT supplier portfolio management, encompassing segmentation and rationalization initiatives aligned with strategic objectives
  • Project Management: Responsible for the coordination of strategic IT supplier / vendor relationships between the Business and the third party IT provider. Activities include identification of business stakeholders, gathering requirements and ideation of supplier innovation
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive ongoing IT supplier performance improvement initiatives, including overseeing supplier business reviews and targeted improvement plans
  • Issue Resolution: Addressing and resolving conflicts or issues that arise with IT vendors, ensuring a timely and fair resolution
  • Drive Innovation: Contribute to IT sourcing initiatives that drive innovation, cost savings, and operational efficiency in line with the company's broader business strategies.

The expected salary range for this role is $168,350 - $218,860per year

Qualifications
  • Minimum 4-year degree, MBA preferred
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in a highly complex environment and Global landscape
  • 3+ years experience leading teams and managing multiple projects
  • Experience in conducting influential discussions with executive leaders
  • Strong background in IT procurement, strategic sourcing, and vendor relationship management, with excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills
