JOB TITLE: Director, Group Sales

Job Summary:

The Baltimore Orioles are seeking a results-driven and dynamic Director, Group Sales to oversee and drive group sales revenue. This position will focus on leading the Group Sales strategy and a team of Group Sales Account Executives, developing strategies to enhance performance, and implementing new initiatives to increase the group sales base. In this role, you will work closely with internal departments to create campaigns to increase group ticket sales and attendance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create and execute plans, to sell traditional group tickets along with theme nights and ticket link promotions to hit our yearly sales and ticket goals.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing, Ticket Operations and Business Analytics teams to develop and implement new group sales initiatives to increase revenue and engagement aimed at driving group ticket sales and attendance.
  • Leading, training, and managing a team of Group Sales Account Executives, ensuring revenue and sales targets are met or exceeded.
  • Work with the Sr. Director of Ticket Sales in establishing goals and incentive programs.
  • Track and distribute leads, and continued training of staff to increase Group Account Executives skillsets.
  • Research and implement "best practices" by networking with other MLB teams and professional sports teams.
  • Identify and evaluate new technologies and vendor partnerships to improve sales efficiency and customer service through different, new channels.
  • Develop and implement scalable processes for managing sales pipelines and lead generation, ensuring consistent tracking, prioritization, and conversion of opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships within the Baltimore community, fostering new business opportunities and generating long-term partnerships.
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and resolving issues promptly and professionally.
  • Manage the scheduling, execution, and oversight of group sales activities during Orioles game days and other special events at Oriole Park at Camden Yards.


Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in ticket sales, with at least 3 years in ticketing leadership and experience in group sales specifically.
  • Proven track record to be creative and drive revenue in the sports or entertainment industry with a focus on group sales and leadership.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to make impactful client relationships.
  • High levels of personal and professional integrity, with the ability to lead and motivate a team to meet objectives.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and knowledge of Sales Force CRM, FEVO and Tickets.com is preferred.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with a client-first mentality and ability to resolve issues promptly and professionally.
  • Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on the Orioles' schedule.

The anticipated salary for this role is $75,000 - $105,000 annually with a bonus target depending on experience.
