Salary Range: $90,000-$110,000

SUMMARY: Working closely with the Vice President of Operations, the Director of Behavioral Services will oversee the development, implementation and evaluation the agency's behavioral support services and ensure the delivery of high-quality, ethical, and data-driven services. This position requires a collaborative leader who is skilled in the application of behavior analysis.

This position requires a collaborative leader who is skilled in the application of behavior analysis.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead and manage the Behavioral Services department, including supervising staff, fostering professional development, and ensuring high-quality service delivery.
- Develop, implement and supervise individualized behavior support plans (BSPs) for individuals with intellectual disabilities, ensuring they are based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
- Conduct functional behavior assessments (FBAs) and use data-driven decision-making to inform the development of behavior interventions.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of behavioral interventions, adjusting strategies based on data and individual progress.
- Provide direct supervision and mentorship to staff working on behavior analysis and intervention plans, ensuring they implement evidence-based practices.
- Conduct regular training sessions for staff on ABA principles, intervention techniques, and data collection methods.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, professional ethics, and best practices in the field of behavior analysis and IDD services.
- Service as a resource for families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary teams, providing consultation and guidance on behavioral strategies and interventions.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure the integration of behavioral strategies into all aspects of the individual's care and daily routines.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of assessments, treatment plans, progress reports, and other required records.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices and research in the field of behavior analysis and IDD services.
- Participate in strategic planning and organizational development to enhance overall service delivery and improve client outcomes.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Behavior Specialist and other behavior support professionals
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master's degree in applied Behavioral Analysis, Psychology, Special Education, or a related field. social work, psychology or related field required; Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) required.
- At least 5 years of experience in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis, including at least 2 years of experience in leadership or supervisory role. a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of behavior analysis principles, including conducting functional behavior assessments (FBAs), developing and implementing behavior support plans (BSPs), and using data to inform decision-making.
- Experience working with individuals with intellectual and development disabilities (IDD), including those with complex behavioral needs.
- Ability to supervise and mentor behavior specialists and other staff in the implementation of ABA interventions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with staff, families, and other stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
