Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled professional with strong business and technical expertise. This individual will be responsible for cultivating and maintaining effective relationships with peers, managers, directors, and stakeholders. A key aspect of this role is identifying organizational needs and delivering tools and internal services that support operational success in Fleet Management and System Integration.

The position involves managing systems projects related to the information technology applications and resources used in Fleet IT, including all associated applications, interfaces, and data exchanges. Responsibilities include project management and lifecycle management of applications and systems, as well as overseeing other information technology resources.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the full project lifecycle, including planning, requirements gathering, scheduling, reporting, implementation, and post-launch support.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed project plans, including business requirements, functional specifications, testing plans, workflows, and data requirements.
  • Track and report project progress monthly to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to align expectations and ensure project goals are met.
  • Facilitate timely and effective meetings with stakeholders, project teams, and sub-teams to drive progress and decision-making.
  • Collaborate with vendors to ensure deliverables are on schedule, complete, and well-documented.
  • Resolve conflicts and coordinate key milestones to avoid scheduling delays.
  • Implement and maintain systems in compliance with governance standards and internal controls.
  • Identify, escalate, and manage risks, issues, and changes, ensuring mitigation strategies are in place.
  • Gain a strong understanding of business workflows and drivers to align technical solutions with operational needs.
  • Partner with key stakeholders to ensure system requirements and performance expectations are met across all business levels.
  • Support system troubleshooting and ongoing maintenance to ensure stable operations.
  • Communicate proactively and clearly across all project phases, addressing roadblocks and facilitating resolution.
  • Deliver measurable business improvements by driving strategic initiatives in collaboration with business leaders.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (Master's degree a plus).
  • 5+ years of project management experience, with at least 2 years focused on systems implementation or process optimization-preferably within the construction, fleet, or equipment industries.
  • Proven experience managing enterprise-level implementations and cross-functional project teams.
  • Direct experience with fleet systems, including telematics platforms, fleet management software, maintenance tracking, and fuel card programs.
  • Strong understanding of systems architecture, data flows, APIs, and dependencies, including integration with ERP systems (e.g., JD Edwards, Viewpoint Vista, SAP).
  • 5+ years of experience in vendor/system management, including software evaluation, implementation, and support coordination.
  • Proficiency in project management and collaboration tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet) and business intelligence platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Exceptional communication, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills across all organizational levels.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to influence outcomes and align teams with business goals.
  • Ability to assess business processes and translate needs into scalable technical solutions.
  • Analytical and problem-solving mindset with high attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with tools such as FileMaker; AssetWorks experience is a plus.
  • Solid technical acumen and the ability to understand and articulate both current and evolving business processes.
  • Strong working knowledge of software lifecycle management, system testing, and deployment practices.
  • Deep understanding of change management principles and performance evaluation frameworks.
  • Adaptable, resourceful self-starter who thrives in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
