Key Responsibilities
- Oversee clinical operations of a 21-bed main ED and two off-campus FSEDs
- Lead, coach, and support a team of ~75 FTEs, including ER managers and frontline staff
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards
- Collaborate with the engaged ED Medical Director to strengthen teamwork and efficiency
- Monitor and optimize throughput, staffing, and patient satisfaction
- Implement process improvements to reduce door-to-doc times and enhance care delivery
- Drive strategic growth and trauma readiness in coordination with executive leadership
- Promote staff development, retention, and leadership training initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing required; Master's in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or Business preferred
- Active RN license in Texas or compact-eligible state
- Minimum 3 years of recent experience as a Director of Emergency Services in a similar acute care setting
- Experience with performance metrics, multi-site operations, and leadership development
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and either PALS or ENPC required
Department Overview
- Main ED: 21 beds | 100-120 patients/day
- FSED - Saginaw: 12 beds | 60-100 patients/day (seasonal variation)
- FSED - Haslet: 12 beds | 22 patients/day
- Trauma Designation: Level III, with Level II planning underway
- CMS Five-Star rated hospital with high provider engagement and stable leadership
