THE ROLE

On Location has been appointed as the Official Hospitality Provider of the FIFA World Cup 26! The Director of Architecture will lead the architectural design and coordination of all FIFA World Cup 26 hospitality spaces including but not limited to VVIP, VIP, affiliates, and general hospitality products in conjunction with internal and external design teams (external agencies/contractors) and the project's key partners. Strong AutoCAD skills are essential and proficiency in Revit, 3D software (SketchUp, Rhino, 3DS Max), and Adobe Creative Suite skills will be necessary. They are flexible, hardworking, and have an extreme attention to detail even when working on tight deadlines. This role will report to the VP, Architecture - FIFA World Cup 26TM.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead the architectural design and coordination of all FIFA World Cup 26 hospitality spaces including but not limited to VVIP, VIP, Affiliates, and general hospitality products with internal and external design teams (external agencies/contractors) and the project's key partners
  • Develop and review architectural drawings according to established best standard practices and ensure they meet FIFA standards/requirements
  • Develop architectural solutions to technical and operational problems
  • Work closely with the infrastructure team to ensure architectural layouts meet local & stadium code requirements (access, egress, accessibility, fire safety, etc.) and are aligned with procurement plans, operational plans, etc.
  • Work closely with the design team to ensure architectural layouts are in line with the overall look & feel design concepts
  • Work closely with the venue management team to ensure FF&E is aligned with stadium inventory and/or what will be available and/or supplied
  • Work with internal and external teams to communicate architectural design ideas and collaborate on the development & execution of all spaces within budgets and time constraints
  • Develop and manage deadlines and timelines across multiple overlapping venues and products
  • Architectural design studies as needed
  • 3D model studies as needed
  • Prepare materials for presentations and site inspections
  • Coordinate/prepare materials for approvals
  • Coordinate drawing exchange with FIFA venue design team and other stakeholders
  • And other duties as assigned including administrative support


REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's degree in architecture or a related field; advanced degree preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in architecture
  • Experience in large-scale sporting event architectural design preferred
  • Mastery of AutoCAD, Revit, 3D Software (SketchUp, Rhino, 3DS Max), Photoshop / Illustrator, PowerPoint, Microsoft Office suite
  • Intrinsic knowledge of architectural design languages and spatial planning
  • Ability to adapt architectural designs within physical and budgetary constraints
  • Experience working within a complex, cross-functional organization
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically to resolve issues efficiently
  • Ability to manage multiple large-scale tasks and priorities simultaneously
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Time-management skills meet project deliverables and timelines
  • A willingness to travel and work flexible hours


Per local requirements and in the interest of transparency, the range shown below reflects the prevalent current hiring range for this position. Hiring pay rates are based on a number of factors, including location and may vary depending on job-related qualifications, knowledge, skills and experience. The company strives to provide locally competitive rewards packages, which include base rate along with, as applicable, short- and long-term incentives, growth and developmental opportunities, and robust benefits, such as health care, retirement, vacation and other paid time off, and additional offerings.

Hiring Range Minimum:
$90,000 annually

Hiring Range Maximum:
$120,000 annually
