This role is central to managing the unit's close processes, financial performance, budgeting cycles, and long-term financial planning. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in managing financial operations in a project-based or service-oriented environment, and will contribute to improving both financial accuracy and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee monthly and year-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting for the business unit
  • Play a key role in planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes
  • Prepare and evaluate income statements, cost analyses, and performance metrics
  • Ensure financial reports align with company policies and accounting standards
  • Manage periodic inventory and asset tracking procedures
  • Serve as the primary finance liaison between the business unit and broader corporate finance team
  • Offer financial insights to support revenue optimization, cost control, and risk mitigation
  • Partner with key business functions (e.g., operations, procurement, sales) to align financial goals with strategic objectives
  • Analyze contract structures, pricing models, and margins to inform decision-making
  • Monitor expenditures and apply cost containment practices across the business unit
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting principles, and relevant regulatory guidelines
  • Collaborate with auditors and internal teams to ensure accurate reporting and compliance
  • Improve processes to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and audit readiness
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to align financial plans with operational initiatives
  • Develop models to support key investments and business planning decisions


Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA, CMA, or CFA preferred)
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in accounting, FP&A, or finance roles in operational or business unit settings
  • Strong understanding of cost accounting, inventory processes, and financial performance tracking
  • Hands-on experience with ERP and financial reporting systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite)
  • Advanced Excel skills and proven ability to develop financial models
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills
