Key Responsibilities
- Oversee monthly and year-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting for the business unit
- Play a key role in planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes
- Prepare and evaluate income statements, cost analyses, and performance metrics
- Ensure financial reports align with company policies and accounting standards
- Manage periodic inventory and asset tracking procedures
- Serve as the primary finance liaison between the business unit and broader corporate finance team
- Offer financial insights to support revenue optimization, cost control, and risk mitigation
- Partner with key business functions (e.g., operations, procurement, sales) to align financial goals with strategic objectives
- Analyze contract structures, pricing models, and margins to inform decision-making
- Monitor expenditures and apply cost containment practices across the business unit
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting principles, and relevant regulatory guidelines
- Collaborate with auditors and internal teams to ensure accurate reporting and compliance
- Improve processes to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and audit readiness
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to align financial plans with operational initiatives
- Develop models to support key investments and business planning decisions
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA, CMA, or CFA preferred)
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in accounting, FP&A, or finance roles in operational or business unit settings
- Strong understanding of cost accounting, inventory processes, and financial performance tracking
- Hands-on experience with ERP and financial reporting systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite)
- Advanced Excel skills and proven ability to develop financial models
- Strong interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills
