Description:
We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Senior R&D Engineer to join our Computational Metrology and Inspection team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, adept programming skills, and significant research and development experience in industry. This role will require the application of expert knowledge in the field of computational metrology to innovate and advance our inspection technologies.
**Responsibilities: **
- Lead and conduct research to develop computational models and algorithms for advanced metrology and inspection applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement software solutions that improve measurement accuracy and efficiency.
- Utilize expertise in C/C++ and Python programming to develop, test, and optimize code.
- Analyze data and perform simulations to validate the performance of metrology systems and components.
- Mentor junior engineers and guide technical discussions within the team.
- Prepare and present findings to stakeholders, contributing to strategic planning and decision-making processes.
**Qualifications: **
- A Master's or Ph.D. degree in a technical field such as Mathematics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline from a credible institution.
- Approximately 3 years of professional experience in a relevant industry.
- Proficiency in C/C++ and Python programming languages with extensive experience in software development.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to apply computational techniques to real-world challenges.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex ideas to diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
**Preferred Qualifications: **
- Experience with computational modeling, digital signal processing, or machine learning algorithms.
- Familiarity with metrology equipment and inspection processes.
- Experience in leading projects or teams.

The salary range for this position is $179,400 to $287,100 and this role is eligible to earn incentive compensation. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate's work location as well as additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education/training.
