Job Summary
As the Financial Accounting & Reporting Manager, you will be responsible for preparing and analyzing financial statements and reports, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations, and providing insights into the company's financial performance. You will work with financial data, prepare reports for management and stakeholders, and may also assist with internal audits and tax filings.

Location: Houston, TX. Role is hybrid with up to 3 days per week in office. Periodic trips to other office locations for team meetings as needed.

Job Summary
As the Financial Accounting & Reporting Manager, you will be responsible for preparing and analyzing financial statements and reports, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations, and providing insights into the company's financial performance. You will work with financial data, prepare reports for management and stakeholders, and may also assist with internal audits and tax filings.
Responsibilities
- Preparing Financial Statements: Creating income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and other financial reports.
- Analyzing Financial Data: Examining financial data to identify trends, making forecasts, and assessing the company's financial health.
- Reconciling Accounts: Verifying the accuracy of financial records, including bank accounts, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
- Preparing Reports and Presentations: Communicating financial information to management, investors, and other stakeholders.
- Ensuring Compliance: Adhering to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and relevant regulations.
- Internal Controls: Assisting with the implementation and monitoring of SOX internal controls to safeguard financial integrity.
- Supporting Audit Processes: Working with internal and external auditors to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records.
- Assisting with Tax Filings: Helping with the preparation of tax returns and other tax-related paperwork as may be needed.
- Continuous Improvement: Identifying opportunities to improve financial reporting processes and systems.
- Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field required, CPA or a master's degree preferred.
- Experience: 3+ years in a management role in related field. Big 4 a plus.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting standards (GAAP), and relevant regulations. (IFRS experience a plus)
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and draw conclusions.
- Communication Skills: Ability to clearly communicate financial information to both technical and non-technical audiences at various levels.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software and other relevant tools.
- Attention to Detail: Accuracy and meticulousness in preparing financial reports and records.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve accounting and reporting issues.
- Ability to multi-task and work in a very fast-paced changing environment.
