The VP, HR Systems and Data is responsible for overseeing the management, integration, and optimization of organizational systems and data operations. This role requires expertise in system design, data governance, and analytics to ensure the organization's HR data and technology infrastructure supports its strategic goals. The VP, HR System and Data will work closely with cross-functional teams to streamline processes, maintain data accuracy, provide actionable insights to support business decisions and drive continuous improvement in HR processes.

The VP, HR Systems and Data is responsible for overseeing the management, integration, and optimization of organizational systems and data operations. This role requires expertise in system design, data governance, and analytics to ensure the organization's HR data and technology infrastructure supports its strategic goals. The VP, HR System and Data will work closely with cross-functional teams to streamline processes, maintain data accuracy, provide actionable insights to support business decisions and drive continuous improvement in HR processes.
What you will be doing:
Systems Management:
- Work closely with the HR team to proactively identify opportunities to streamline the systems and processes used to support and deliver HR operations, payroll and associated services.
- Key input into the design, implementation, and maintenance of HR systems to ensure efficiency and scalability.
- Ensure integration between systems to support seamless data flow and operational processes.
- Manage system upgrades and troubleshoot technical issues to minimize downtime.
Data Strategy, Risk Management and Governance:
- Develop and implement risk control / data management policies, including data security, quality, and risk / compliance protocols.
- Establish and maintain a robust data governance framework with clear evidence guidelines.
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy across all systems.
- Lead the creation and execution of HR data analytics strategies that inform key business decisions.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Review current HR data reporting and analytics tools and processes and provide recommendations for improvements.
- Lead efforts to collect, analyze, and interpret data to generate actionable insights.
- Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations to support decision-making.
- Identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for optimization using data analysis tools.
- Develop and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness and efficiency of HR processes.
Team Leadership:
- Manage and mentor junior HR team members.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
- Serve as a liaison between and across HR and non-HR stakeholders.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Partner with business leaders to identify system and data needs.
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Collaborate with vendors and third-party providers to ensure effective service delivery.
What we're looking for:
- Strong understanding of HR processes and systems, with direct experience in Oracle HCM.
- Experience with UKG Pro, Greenhouse ATS, PayScale is a plus.
- Proficiency in system integration and administration tools (e.g., ERP, CRM, or other enterprise systems).
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
- Knowledge of data governance frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
- Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
- Analytical and problem solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- High level professionalism and respect for confidential information.
- Excellent attention to detail ensuring accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple, high priority tasks and adjust to shifting priorities while meeting deadlines.
Professional qualifications / certifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field (Master's preferred).
- Minimum 10 years of experience in system management, data analysis, or a similar role.
