Job Description
The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) is seeking a dedicated and highly motivated General Otolaryngologist to join our esteemed Department of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery. This is a full-time faculty position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor, depending on the candidate's qualifications and experience.
Position Highlights
This role offers a unique opportunity to join a collaborative and academically driven team that is actively engaged in clinical care, research, and professional development at national and international levels. The position emphasizes general otolaryngology, with opportunities to participate in a variety of patient care services, including but not limited to:
Management of common and complex ENT conditions
Outpatient care and surgical procedures
Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive care
Key Responsibilities
Provide exceptional patient care in general otolaryngology
Teach and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows
Contribute to scholarly activities, including research, publications, and presentations
Collaborate with colleagues to advance clinical and academic initiatives
Develop and enhance programs, such as a clinical dysphagia program or other specialized areas of interest
Qualifications
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Otolaryngology
Demonstrated experience in clinical care, research, and teaching
A strong publication record and interest in clinical and research mentorship
Eligibility for a valid, unrestricted medical license to practice medicine in the state of Alabama
A Controlled Substance Registration and Drug Enforcement Administration Certificate
