This role is ideal for a passionate developer with a strong background in modern web technologies, cloud computing, AI applications, and large-scale distributed systems. The ideal candidate will have experience working on customer-facing applications in the utility and data center sectors and be proficient in building scalable, high-performance applications in a cloud-native environment. This is an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies, including AI-powered solutions, real-time alerting systems, and next-generation cloud architectures.

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is based in Wendell, NC.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable and performant full stack applications that enhance user experience and business processes.
  • Lead the development of React-based front-end applications with a strong focus on component reusability, performance optimization, and accessibility.
  • Build and optimize backend services using Python (FastAPI), Node.js, Java and other modern frameworks.
  • Develop, deploy, and manage cloud-based applications on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, utilizing services like Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, Bedrock, Cognito, OpenSearch, and CloudFormation, Blob Storage, Azure AI, Azure Search.
  • Implement AI-driven solutions, including chatbot integrations and Knowledge-augmented generation (KAG) systems to improve customer interactions.
  • Architect and develop real-time alerting systems that integrate with multi-part industrial platforms and sensor data streams.
  • Utilize Next.js, Gatsby, and React Router to build fast, SEO-friendly, and high-performance front-end applications.
  • Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines to ensure smooth deployment and versioning of applications.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to define technical roadmaps, requirements, and software development best practices.
  • Build and maintain design systems using Figma, Storybook, Chakra UI, and Material UI to ensure consistency and usability across applications.
  • Implement OAuth authentication and role-based access control (RBAC) using AWS Cognito and other identity providers.
  • Work with message queues (Kafka, SQS, or RabbitMQ) to enable event-driven architectures.

You'll win us over by having the following qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of full stack development experience, with a proven track record of delivering production-grade applications.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, React, and Next.js.
  • Expertise in backend development with Python (FastAPI) and Node.js.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure preferred) and serverless architectures (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, OpenSearch, Bedrock, CloudFormation, S3).
  • Hands-on experience with AI technologies, including Lang Chain, LLMs, chatbot development, and Knowlwdge-augmented generation (RAG), N8N, AI Agents.
  • Proficiency in UI frameworks such as Material UI, Chakra UI, and Tailwind CSS.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in engineering
  • Experience in the energy or utility sector, with knowledge of kWh, SCADA, solar leasing, and energy management systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with database management (SQL, NoSQL) and designing efficient, scalable schemas.
  • Familiarity with API design, security best practices, and authentication mechanisms (OAuth, JWT, RBAC).
  • Ability to work with large-scale data and analytics tools, including time series databases and OpenSearch and different Embedding DBs.
  • Has the capability of reading/understanding old code in VB and transforming it into modern scalable tech.
  • Working Experience with MCP servers and their application in modern AI workflows and agent building.
  • Deep understanding of real-time data processing and alerting systems using event-driven architectures.
  • Experience with AI-powered automation and predictive analytics for industrial applications.
  • MCP server use and creation for different platforms.

  • The pay range for this position is $100,450 - $172,200. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
