Join Sanofi's Regulatory Data, Digital, and AI (DDAI) team as Head of Engagement & Innovation, where you will turn vision into momentum-bringing new solutions to life and ensuring they are adopted, loved, and continuously improved across the GRA community.

In this strategic and hands-on role, you will lead a global team that blends product mindset, user experience, and value realization. You will manage a flat, multidisciplinary team that includes Portfolio Management, Innovation Leads, Change Management & Adoption Lead, and Strategic Initiative Leads, ensuring alignment across value delivery, transformation initiatives, and experience design. Your leadership will be key in orchestrating how these diverse roles operate as one unified engagement and innovation engine.

You'll drive engagement programs, cultivate internal innovation, and co-develop ideas with end users, capability leads, and strategic partners. Your experience in product ownership, cross-functional collaboration, and digital capability scaling in complex, regulated environments will be central to your success.

This role is ideal for someone who has transitioned from science and research to digital product leadership-someone who has navigated both the "how" and "why" of innovation. Your team will operate as an enabling team per Team Topologies, supporting seamless collaboration across functions and accelerating capability adoption across the regulatory lifecycle.

Main Responsibilities:

User Engagement & Adoption Strategy

  • Design and deliver tailored engagement plans that maximize the adoption, satisfaction, and effectiveness of regulatory digital and AI solutions.
  • Create mechanisms to capture and amplify the user voice-through feedback loops, peer networks, training journeys, and storytelling.


Productized Innovation Enablement

  • Incubate and scale user-driven ideas in alignment with Sanofi's innovation funnel-from exploration to exploitation and transfer.
  • Work closely with the AI & MDM enabling teams, with the Emerging Capability Team and Key Capability owners to bring early concepts to life through structured experimentation and validation.


Innovation Culture & Partnership Activation

  • Foster a culture of curiosity, creativity, and experimentation-within the team and across GRA stakeholders.
  • Leverage relationships with external partners, vendors, and digital communities to activate co-innovation and explore emerging ideas.


Value Realization & Impact Measurement

  • Define KPIs to track engagement, adoption, and business impact. Use these metrics to tell a compelling story of success and identify improvement opportunities.


About You

  • 8 or more years of previous experience spanning product management, digital innovation, or capability leadership within life sciences, pharma, or a regulated tech environment.
  • Track record of scaling adoption of digital or AI capabilities across global or matrixed organizations.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams with a user-centric and outcomes-oriented mindset.of delivering value through iterative design, validation, and adoption strategies.
  • Experienced in operating within regulated digital environments, balancing innovation with compliance, privacy, and data integrity standards.
  • Proficient in defining value measurement frameworks and articulating the impact of digital capabilities to guide stakeholder alignment, inform investment decisions, and accelerate scalable adoption strategies.


Soft and Technical Skills:

  • Digital Product Thinking - Able to translate user needs into adoption strategies, MVPs, and scalable value.
  • Human-Centered Design - Strong grasp of experience design principles and user engagement dynamics.
  • Change Enablement - Skilled in building trust, inspiring behavior change, and managing uncertainty.
  • Strategic Foresight: Proficient in applying foresight tools and future-casting techniques to identify emerging trends, anticipate disruptions, and inform long-term innovation and capability roadmaps.
  • Innovation Management - Familiar with frameworks like Strategyzer's Explore-Exploit-Scale funnel, Zone to Win, and Ten Types of Innovation; able to guide ideas from incubation to integration in alignment with strategic goals.
  • Portfolio Management - Skilled in managing complex innovation portfolios, including intake, prioritization, governance, value realization, and stage-gating for scale. Adept at balancing bold, transformational bets with incremental, performance-driven improvements to drive sustained impact.
  • Data and Digital Technology Expertise - Strong understanding of data product strategy, cloud-native platforms, and AI/ML technologies; able to translate emerging technology capabilities into actionable opportunities and scalable digital solutions in regulated R&D contexts.
  • Agile & Lean Startup - Comfort with iterative experimentation, validated learning, and pivot-or-persevere decisions.
  • Strategic Communication - Effective in storytelling, executive presentations, and multi-channel outreach.
  • People Leadership - Experienced in building and mentoring global cross-functional teams; fosters a culture of curiosity, accountability, and continuous growth to drive innovation and business impact.


Education:

  • Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in Life Sciences, Digital Health, Innovation Management, Regulatory Affairs, or related discipline.

The salary range for this position is:
$202,500.00 - $292,500.00
