Intellectual Asset and Contract Manager for our Alpharetta, GA office. Reporting to the Chief Legal Officer, this position is accountable and responsible for overseeing and enhancing our Trade Secret (TS) strategy, ensuring the protection and commercialization of our innovations and reviewing commercial contracts. This role will work closely with R&T, legal, intellectual property manager and business teams to identify manage the company's TS portfolio and mitigate TS risks. The Intellectual Asset and Contract Manager will also provide guidance on compliance with industry regulations.

This role will work closely with R&T, legal, intellectual property manager and business teams to identify manage the company's TS portfolio and mitigate TS risks. The Intellectual Asset and Contract Manager will also provide guidance on compliance with industry regulations.
Job Responsibilities:
Intellectual Asset (IA) Strategy & Portfolio Management:
- Manage the company's global IA portfolio, including, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive intellectual property strategy aligned with the company's business objectives.
- Conduct regular IA audits to assess the strength of existing IA protections.
- Determine next steps and projects required to bring identified IAs under TS protections.
- Work with teams to understand opportunities and abilities to bring information under copyrights or trademarks as requested.
- Conduct IA due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, and partnerships.
- Ensure compliance with national and international Trade Secret laws, regulations, and industry.
IP Risk Management & Compliance:
- Monitor competitor TS activity and provide insights on potential risks, freedom-to-operate analyses, and litigation risks standards.
- Execute projects to bring identified TS into compliance with identified protections
- Regularly audit plant and corporate for compliance with TS requirements.
- Maintain Arclin's Internal TS Register.
Collaboration & Training:
- Educate internal teams on TS best practices, and confidentiality protocols.
- Collaborate with internal and external legal counsel as required.
- Work with the internal patent agent as required for transitioning Trade Secrets to Patents.
- Manage related internal SharePoint sites and content for end users to access.
Contract Reviews:
- Conduct preliminary Contract Reviews under the guidance of internal legal team.
- Provide feedback based on Contract Reviews.
- Appropriately file all contracts reviewed, including all NDAs, in their appropriate repositories.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Material Science, Law, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in intellectual asset management, preferably within the material science, chemical, or manufacturing industries.
- Understanding of global trademark laws, particularly in key markets (e.g., U.S., Europe, Asia).
- IP portfolio management.
- Excellent analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with technical, legal, and business teams.
