Compensation Starting at:

Position Salary Range: $109,315.67 - $138,477.81 per year
Starting Pay: Although our full pay range is included above, the budgeted hiring range for this position is $109,315.67 - $123,896.74 per year.

Schedule: Full-Time, 1.0 FTE, Exempt. Benefits Eligible

Monday - Friday: 9am - 5pm

The Objective: Oversee and direct the performance of a portfolio of health centers that contribute to a broader system that provides optimal patient access to excellent, equitable health care across the Rocky Mountain affiliate's region. This region currently includes health centers located in Greenwood Village, Denver Central and Salida.

Success: You will know you are successful when you have a group of high-performing health centers staffed by confident and highly capable managers who are reaching or surpassing their performance benchmarks while maintaining strict compliance to all regulatory requirements.

Snapshot: The Regional Director of HC Operations is responsible for directing the operational activities of the individual Health Centers within their Regional Zones. This Regional Director position will lead 5-6 health centers, 30+ teammates, and provide oversight of operations with complete accountability for approximately $4MM profit and loss. Your days will involve providing strategic and tactical leadership, counsel, and direction to the leadership teams of your assigned facilities to ensure safe, efficient, and ethical patient care. You will work closely with your dyad partner to ensure alignment across operational and clinical teams. Additionally, you will identify and develop strategic growth opportunities, monitor zone performance, and work closely with the Vice President of Patient Services to develop strategies in alignment with PPRMs mission and values. Lastly, you will lead, sit on, and otherwise support organizational committees designed to improve operational efficiency and manage change. Much of your time will be spent collaboratively in meetings either on the computer, in person, or on the phone in small or large groups. You will travel among your health centers and to administrative locations to meet with staff, resolve problems on site, and conduct investigations.

This position requires 100% on-site presence amongst the health centers in your assigned portfolio. Travel to distant health centers is paid or reimbursed.

Qualifications:

  • You have at least 8 years of demonstrably successful supervisory experience in Healthcare Management and operations with a matrixed organization, a strong commitment to customer service, excellent operational strategy, and are committed to cultivating a positive and inclusive culture.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with demonstrable evidence of building & driving high performing teams required. Master's degree in business, healthcare administration or social work or similar preferred.
  • Ability to operate and succeed in a fast-paced environment, coaching teams to business, operational and personnel success.
  • You are able to drive outstanding performance through the monitoring of key performance indicators (KPI's) and have demonstrated success in improving operational environments in healthcare.
  • You have worked closely and successfully with various members of a healthcare operations team including licensed independent providers and unlicensed staff.
  • You can work independently while leading a team and are able to identify the root causes of problems and address & implement process improvements.
  • You think critically through ideas and problems, are detailed oriented, and have efficient time management skills.
  • You have successfully managed a large healthcare team within a matrixed organization and are experienced at coaching, mentoring, and developing supervisors in healthcare settings.
  • You understand and have experience maintaining regulatory compliance.

Primary Areas of Responsibility/Essential Functions:
Managing High Performing Health Center Managers: You're responsible for creating a healthy work environment and creating the conditions for training, coaching, and supervision. You will provide support that ensures health center managers are skilled and successful in meeting the key performance indicators established for their roles. You work diligently to build a strong and effective team that embodies the agency's core values. You will:

  • Own the business of each your health centers and ensure financial viability.
  • Chair or otherwise sit on organization wide committees as an operational leader with decision making authority.
  • Establish and/or implement goals, objectives, policies, procedures and systems to support all operational areas of your health centers.
  • Work in collaboration with Clinical Leadership dyads and matrixed relationships to solve problems, think strategically and drive performance.
  • Work closely with heath center leadership teams to ensure high quality daily operations of each health center while developing, monitoring, and analyzing budget, financial information cost effectively and key performance indicators.
  • Collaborate with HR & guide health center leaders to support and participate in the administration and implementation of personnel policies, recruiting, staff supervision, performance evaluation and disciplinary actions.
  • Participates as a representative of management in the grievance process, negotiations with the Union, and other Union matters as appropriate.
  • Develop high-performing, competent, skillful, and enthusiastic health center managers while holding them to high standards.
  • Maintain positive morale by checking in periodically with staff at all levels.
  • Identify career progression opportunities within PPRM for health center staff.
  • Step in as interim health center manager if needed.


Excellent and Efficient Health Centers: You ensure health center compliance with all necessary requirements (HIPAA, CLIA, OSHA etc.), as well as the overall operational and administrative success of the center. You have responsibility for financial health and performance indicators, as well as serving as a link between the health centers and other teams and departments that work alongside them. You will:

  • Develop accurate health center budgets using historical data and current trends.
  • Proactively monitor and intervene, strategically to meet key performance indicators including financial, patient access, patient experience, quality, performance, and other data to assure quality of care and sound business practices. Make adjustments accordingly.
  • Coach health center leadership teams and also personally report out data based metrics related to Key Performance indicators including financials, patient access, patient volume and other related KPI's as needed.
  • Develop and implement long-range plans for health center operations in coordination with the VP of Patient Services.
  • Provides information for staff meetings to facilitate communication between administration and the health center. Attend staff meetings periodically and as neededProvides guidance and coaching on the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA); partners closely with the Labor Relations Director to ensure compliance.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with security department to ensure staff and patient safety. Possess a working understanding of internal security system (cameras, alarm codes, contact lists etc.).
  • Develop strong working relationships with other PPRM departments to resolve administrative and operational problems to assure most effective provision of medical services, and adherence to legal and medical standards.
  • Respond to security alarm calls as needed.
