We're seeking an experienced insurance professional to serve as our lead advisor for homeowners navigating insurance claims related to disaster rebuilds. In this role, you'll provide critical support to customers recovering from property loss by helping them understand their policies, strategize claims, and maximize available proceeds. Your expertise will directly impact the success of rebuilding efforts, creating better financial outcomes for our customers and supporting Homebound's mission of rebuilding communities affected by disasters.

This role will focus on supporting our Los Angeles market and may extend to additional disaster-affected markets Homebound engages with over time. You'll work closely with Sales and cross-functional partners to help evaluate and improve the financial feasibility of each rebuild.

Candidates must be based in the Los Angeles, CA area to be considered for this role.

What You'll Do
  • Serve as a trusted advisor, guiding homeowners through their insurance claims related to disaster damage
  • Translate complex insurance language into clear, accessible information for customers
  • Help customers understand how their policy performs in today's market conditions
  • Use internal tools (e.g., Insurance Dashboard, ROI Calculator) to support claim-related decisions and consultations
  • Develop claim strategies aimed at maximizing proceeds while minimizing delays
  • Collaborate with client-hired attorneys and public adjusters to optimize claim outcomes
  • Ensure a supportive and high-touch customer experience throughout the claims journey
  • Lead insurance due diligence processes in the LA market and support additional disaster markets as needed

Who You Are
  • 6+ years of experience as a Claims Adjuster, Public Adjuster, or in a related insurance role
  • Deep understanding of homeowners insurance and the end-to-end claims process
  • Strong communicator with excellent listening, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with strong follow-through
  • Capable of leading customer-facing consultations with clarity and empathy
  • Tech-savvy and comfortable using tools like Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Salesforce, and similar business platforms
