We are looking for a seasoned Senior Superintendent with experience in plumbing and mechanical work to lead the on-site execution of large-scale construction projects. The ideal candidate will oversee all aspects of mechanical and plumbing system installation in the field, from planning and scheduling to quality control and safety compliance, while coordinating closely with Project Managers, subcontractors, and the VDC/BIM teams.

This position requires a deep understanding of HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems in commercial and/or industrial construction environments, along with strong leadership and communication skills.

What You'll Do:
  • Manage and oversee field installation of mechanical and plumbing systems, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Supervise and coordinate field crews, foremen, subcontractors, and vendors related to M&P trades.
  • Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and coordinated BIM models; ensure field work aligns with design intent and constructability.
  • Coordinate closely with the VDC/BIM team to understand the model and ensure accurate layout and installation.
  • Lead daily field coordination meetings and participate in progress meetings with general contractors and owners.
  • Develop and maintain three-week look-ahead schedules, track daily progress, and adjust manpower/resources accordingly.
  • Monitor and enforce safety standards, jobsite cleanliness, and adherence to all OSHA and company safety requirements.
  • Oversee material deliveries, inspections, equipment installation, and startup/commissioning processes.
  • Ensure proper documentation of RFIs, field changes, punch lists, and as-builts.
  • Work collaboratively with Project Managers and Engineers to address and resolve field issues in real time.
  • Mentor Assistant Superintendents, Foremen, and field personnel.


Qualifications

What You'll Bring:
  • 10+ years of experience in M&P field construction, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or Superintendent role.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical and plumbing systems including HVAC, chilled water, hot water, steam, medical gas, VRF, and drainage systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction documents, shop drawings, and BIM models.
  • Driving Requirements
    • Must have a valid Virginia driver's license.
    • Must have positive points on state driving record.
    • Must be at least 21 years of age unless company approval is granted.
    • Must not have had a DUI, DWI, or reckless driving conviction in the last five years.
    • All driving records are run as part of our pre-employment process and reviewed at the discretion of the Safety Team.
  • Physical Requirements
    • Must be able to crawl, kneel, squat, and climb.
    • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis, unassisted.
    • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
