Description
The University of Montana invites applications for an Assistant Athletic Director - Revenue Generation for the Athletics Department.
This position is a new role within the Athletics Department and will provide strategic leadership, oversight and coordination of the department's revenue-generating operations, name image and likeness (NIL) efforts, and strategic use of the department's facilities to maximize revenue. This position will report to the Director of Athletics along with direct collaboration with the Deputy Director of Athletics, to ensure the Athletic department fosters new revenue opportunities, and align the department's fiscal goals with the mission of both Athletics and the University, while recognizing the budgetary constraints. This position will serve as the Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) for the department.
Athletic Department employees and those University employees outside the Athletic Department with NCAA rules compliance responsibilities are subject at all times to NCAA Bylaws 10.1 and 11.1 regarding ethical conduct and the responsibility to positively contribute to a campus culture of NCAA rules compliance. Failure to conduct oneself as such will result in disciplinary or corrective action up to and including immediate discharge.

Examples of Duties and Responsibilities
- Optimize and grow revenue generating operations and growth of multi-media rights, ticket sales, parking, licensing, concessions, and others. Position will not directly supervise these areas, but will collaborate to set strategies and goals
- Contract outside events for the use of primarily the Adams Center and Washington-Grizzly Stadium such as concerts, flat shows, non-university sporting events and others
- Direct and manage all student-athlete NIL and revenue sharing responsibilities
- Work closely with athletics development team in the area of major gifts, annual fund and special events to maximize revenue, customer service, cultivation, and stewardship
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related area of study
- Two years (2) of experience working in client services and revenue generation managing a portfolio of businesses and/or individuals
- Ability to travel and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
- Experience working in name, image and likeness endeavors in support of student-athletes
- Related experience with securing and managing major events, such as concerts and non-university sporting events
- Two years (2) of experience working in or participating in Division I intercollegiate athletics
- Proven success of increasing revenue
- Collaborative approach with a focus on team success
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a related area of study
